Molly's House - a cosy Highland retreat

A comfortable home in friendly Kinlochleven, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Located in Lochaber, the "outdoor capital of the UK", it's the perfect base for relaxation and adventure. Unwind by the fire and take in the view or step straight from the door to explore the WHW, endless hiking trails or take a peaceful walk by the sea to spot local wildlife. Glencoe, Fort William and Ben Nevis are not far with numerous day trip options including Glenfinnan viaduct, Oban, skiing & more. The space A comfortable and cosy terraced house in the village of Kinlochleven. Make yourself at home - the whole house is solely for guest use during your stay. We have a private driveway with space for 2 cars and there is plenty of public parking on the road just outside the house in a very safe, quiet location. We are situated right on the West Highland Way, within easy walking distance to the local shop and pubs in the village. We are also a stone's throw from the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall - a stunning local viewpoint and starting point for many local hikes in the area. The ground floor consists of a hallway with bench shoe storage and coat pegs, a combined dining/living room, kitchen and WC. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering during your stay. The kitchen is new (2025) and has good quality appliances and cookware. There is an oven, induction hob, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. There is a cafetière and aeropress for making coffee. And plenty of wine glasses for an evening drink beside the fire. Tea, coffee, cooking oils and staple spices are all provided, as well as dishwasher tablets and detergent for the washing machine. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (two double rooms and a twin room) and a shower room (also new 2025). Bedding and towels as well as bathroom essentials are all provided for your stay. For young children we have a highchair and travel cot. There is also a changing mat and baby bath. The travel cot comes with sheets as most people prefer to use their own sleeping bags/blankets. These items are included during your stay for no extra charge but please let us know in advance if you require them so we can get everything set up and ready for you. The surrounding scenery is absolutely spectacular - the view to the front is dominated by the Corbett Garbh Bheinn, and you can also see the Pap of Glencoe. To the rear of the house there are views of the Mamores and the summit of the Munro, Na Gruagaichean. The front garden is South facing and we have outdoor seating in the shed you are welcome to take out and enjoy the views! Guest access The whole house and garden is for your use during your stay. We ask you to please be respectful of our lovely neighbours. We won't always be able to meet you and there is a lockbox at the house for self check-in. We are, of course, always available to contact via airbnb. Other things to note For guests' perusal there are OS and Harvey maps of the area as well as multiple books detailing local walks of varying difficulty. There is also a selection of board games and books including fiction and non-fiction, the latter with a specific focus on Scotland and the outdoors. There is also a small selection of books and puzzles for children (0-3y). Please note there is no TV in the house. We love spendings evenings by the fire, chatting, reading and playing board games. Please bring your own device if you would like to watch TV/movies etc. There is of course free Wifi. Please be respectful of our neighbours. No late night noise or parties. No EV charging on the property.
