Great location and cozy cabin at Høvringen by Rondane National Park. 8 (9) beds in 4 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet. The cabin is beautifully located at 950 meters above sea level with a great view of Rondefjell. Many marked hiking trails and ski trails right outside the cabin wall. Short distance to swimming/fishing areas (100 m), ski school/ski rental. Dog sledding and horse riding at Rondeheim (50 m) (limited time). Høvringen Landhandleri and cafe is only 300 m from the cabin. The space The living room: Dining table with room for 8 people (6 chairs in the living room and 2 chairs in the kitchen). Cozy and spacious sofa corner with a fireplace and TV. Bookshelves with exciting literature. Kitchen: Kitchen with fridge with freezer, cooker with oven, tea maker, coffee maker, and dishwasher. 4 bedrooms: Bedroom 1: Double bed 150 cm Bedroom 2: bunk bed; top 75 cm wide/bottom 120 cm wide. Bedroom 3: Double bed 150 cm Bedroom 4: sofa bed, which can be made double (75/150 cm). Bathrooms: 2 bathrooms with toilet, sink and shower. Wardrobe/hallway: Spacious space for outerwear and footwear with drying rack. Outdoor area: Sunny spacious patio with outdoor furniture and great views. Outdoor tables, benches and chairs. Feel free to support local businesses by shopping at Høvringen Landhandleri and cafe (300 m from the cabin). Somewhat limited opening hours. More info and contact can be found on their FB page. Rondeheim (neighbor 100 m away) can offer activities by direct agreement. Possibilities for horse riding, dog sledding, canoeing, cycling, rental of bed linen and towels. See their website. Hiking tips: From Høvringen there are great hikes to peaks with nice views. 1: Haukberget via Kongesteinen. 2: up Anaripigg and over Karihaugen down. 3: Formokampen (nice to drive to the gravel road on Puttenveien and walk from there). 4: Nice to drive to Smuksjøseter and walk from there to Per-Gynt cabin (a "classic"). 5) For the fit ones, it is possible to climb Smiubelgen/Bråkdalsbelgen 1915 m.a.s.l. (more demanding). By bicycle there are two alternatives; the least demanding is Puttenveien and the most demanding is the road to Smuksjøseter and then the path along the river back to Høvringen (demanding). Swimming: in Høvringensåi there are several pools to swim in, including on both sides of the bridge beyond the cabin, as well as in some mountain lakes. Other things to note The cabin is also in private use when it is not rented out, so there are personal items for decoration and a few individual cabinets. There are several separate cabinets with plenty of space for tenants. There are mattresses, duvets and pillows for all beds, but tenants must bring their own bed linen and towels.
