Riverside Retreat

Come fish off our dock, kayak on the creek, or just enjoy the peaceful setting for a weekend getaway or place to stay during your travels. We have great local restaurants and shopping - make sure you visit Sweet Pickens! We are located conveniently to Majestic (Desoto) Caverns, Talladega Speedway, Pursell Farms with Farmlinks Golf Course, Coosa Valley Medical Center, and Bluebell Creamery. Cheaha State park is less than an hour away. Birmingham is approximately 30 miles away. The space 5 acres on the Tallaseehatchee Creek as it joins to the main branch of Coosa River/Lay Lake. High ground which slopes down to river with hardwoods and pines. A gravel trail takes you down to the river and dock. Your accommodations consist of the smoke-free upper east wing of the house, 2 BDR w/queen beds/1 BA complete with laundry and private entrance. Guest access 2 bedrooms with queen beds are available, closet space for hanging clothes. Laundry behind first double doors on your left as you enter your space off the foyer. Bathroom is for your private use - full bath with shower. Iron and ironing board available, as well as a pack and play on request. Also message me for availability for staying in larger space downstairs with separate entry and patio overlooking river. This space has limited availability. During your stay Call or communicate thru Airbnb. Knock on door or ring the Ring doorbell. Other text and phone options will be given once you book with us. Separate entry door for your privacy. Other things to note Outside cats on premises. Honeybee hives around back away from guests. We have a small inside dog that does not have access to the Airbnb suites. Also chickens down the hill!
