Because the river is right in our backyard, please note that The Perch is elevated--the house is only accessible via stairs. The master bedroom has a king bed and en-suite bathroom, other bedrooms each have a full bed and share the second bathroom. The living room provides ample space for movie night, board games, and gathering, while the upper deck, lower deck, and fire pit offer a variety of spaces for smaller groups or privacy. Located in beautiful Capon Bridge, West Virginia, The Perch is surrounded by nature for peace and quiet, with a selection of local businesses in town for your convenience (including a butcher serving the best burger in West Virginia!). Please note, the Perch has a working apiary (set of beehives) on the property. You should not notice bee activity above and beyond what would normally exist in the country, and the apiary is enclosed and locked at all times. Feel free to message with any questions! If you are an appreciator of the role bees play in our ecosystem, honey from the apiary is available for use in the house and for purchase if you love it! Guest access Guests have full access to the space, but should use the stair access to the river, the river itself, and the fire pit at their own risk. Other things to note The house is only accessible via two flights of stairs (no elevators or ramps).
