Your Serene Private Retreat is a private space with with attached bath and kitchenette. This charming studio is a 11'x15' mini-apartment is within my 1927 Spanish-style home (not a separate cottage). Your Serene Private Retreat studio suite has a semi-private entrance through a common back entry hall. Enjoy California outdoor living in my garden oasis with many lush patios featuring soothing, bubbling fountains and unique California greenery. The garden is filled with birds and butterflies. One off-street parking space is included with this suite. Note: There is no overnight street parking in Pasadena. Your Serene Private Retreat suite features: queen-size bed attached bath with large glass walled shower kitchenette: mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster oven hardwood floors ample storage: dresser, large closet, shelf space satellite TV WiFi central air conditioning/heating linen and towels provided incidentals: shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, hand sanitizer My safe, charming, tree-lined 1920s neighborhood is great for strolling. There are many quaint shops and restaurants within walking distance. For Your Piece of Mind — I take cleanliness seriously and have always wiped down all surfaces, door knobs, light switches, etc. with disinfectant. The suite is cleaned and disinfected completely between each set of guests following the Airbnb protocol based on CDC recommendations. The bedding is completely laundered between guests — including blankets, sheets + pillow cases, and quilts/comforters, and all the towels, bath mats, and robes. Please Note — This is a pet-free, smoke-free home. No smoking of any type and no vaping. Please no illegal drugs or marijuana. Also, no candles or open flames. Your Host — I enjoy sharing my home and meeting guests from everywhere. I welcome guests of all backgrounds, nationalities, faiths, gender identities and sexual orientations. I only require that you be kind, considerate, and respectful of me, my home, and all my guests. I live here and have a busy schedule. I do my best to give you information on this area and make you feel at home. I also give you complete privacy to work or relax in your studio. For Your Relaxation — There are several peaceful patios with bubbling fountains that make up my garden oasis. For Your Safety — The shower is equipped with safety grab bars. The studio has a first aid kit, emergency information sheets, and emergency lanterns, as well as fire extinguisher, smoke and CO detectors. My Neighborhood — My safe, charming, tree-lined 1920s neighborhood is great for strolling. Within walking distance, there are lots of restaurants, Armenian bakeries, cafes, and shops with delicious delicacies, as well as conveniences such as banks, pharmacies, dry cleaners, hair salons, and markets. Public Transit — My home is near buses and Metro Rail A Line, so your Pasadena and Los Angeles visit can be car-free. I can provide Metro info. I offer you TAP cards (re-loadable tickets) loaded with your first fare. Downtown Los Angeles is a half-hour away by Metro Rail, with no parking or traffic hassles. You can also get to Hollywood easily by Metro. Attractions — My home is close to everything Pasadena offers: Old Town Pasadena, the Norton Simon Museum, the Asia Pacific Museum, the Rose Parade route and Rose Bowl, the classic Gamble House, the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, Cal Tech, JPL, and much more, yet in a quaint and quiet neighborhood.. For Your Comfort — I am an Airbnb traveler too, so I try to make you feel at home. You can have complete privacy or chat about travel tips or photography tips (I'm an experienced pro photographer — retired). My goal is to welcome you and to make your stay the best! Guest access You have access to my garden oasis of outdoor areas/peaceful patios. There is off-street parking. There is access to shared spaces within my home and your studio has a well equipped kitchenette. I request that all guests be fully vaccinated (as I am). KITCHENETTE: Your studio has its own fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and tea kettle, and dishes. I will wash the dishes for you in the kitchen dishwasher so they are sanitized. Other things to note I welcome people of every background, religion, ethnicity, gender identity and sexual orientation. If you are kind and respectful, you are welcome in my Airbnb home. This is a smoke-free, pet-free home. The studio is within my home and not a separate building. This suite has a semi-private entrance through a common back hallway. Please understand that my home is not geared for toddlers. I love children, but my home has an adult set-up. I welcome infants (who are not crawling or walking) and children 10-years-old and older. Please understand that my home was built in 1927. It has some blemishes in its original hardwood floors and wood work. I do maintenance continually between guests. Everything is scrubbed and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guests — all bedding, towels and robes laundered. Please note that I do not provide house-keeping services for stays shorter than two weeks. For all guests, however, I may check on trash cans in your room and empty them. For guests staying more than two weeks, linens will be changed and some cleaning can be arranged. There is no parking on the street in Pasadena between 2-6 am. If you leave your car on the street overnight, there is a very high chance that you will get a ticket. Your suite includes one parking place in my driveway. There is space in my driveway for three cars, so a bit of juggling might necessary. We can all work together to make sure parking is available for all. Registration Details SRH2018-00001
