The space What is Glamping? Glamping is described as an elevated for of camping. Amenities designed for comfort are typically available such as a bed, indoor plumbing, and electricity. Chipmunk Chalet sports a rustic patina and contains a queen bed alcove, streaming capable TV, standing shower with hot water, and mindfully selected kitchen amenities tailored to the small space. No longer confined to a roasting over a fire and storing foods in a cooler of ice as with camping, you can prepare meals on a hotplate or in the microwave and have a mini fridge, no ice necessary. Equally important the kitchenette is equipped with a coffee machine. The porch has space to sit and enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Under the canopy of the tree branches, find peace and listen for the sounds of the neighboring creek and birdsong all around you. Chipmunk Chalet is the perfect place for a no nonsense immersion into the National Forest. Just a few minutes down the road is Lake Winfield Scott where you can swim, fish, hike, picnic, etc... ll while supporting the preservation and upkeep of public lands with the small entrance fee. After a long day of adventuring whether near or far, you can look forward to a relaxing soak in the hottub, a hot shower to wash before bed, and a comfortable place to sleep before doing it all again tomorrow. Pet Fee is $75 per dog, per stay. We only allow dogs. No cats. Pets shall always be secured within the boundaries of the property. If the property is not fenced, pets must be kept on a leash and always accompanied by the pet owner while outside. Guest access This property has all private amenities and is self check in. We will text you information pertinant to your stay including a link to our booking agreement (shortly after reserving), a link to the property guidebook that includes the address and important directions (3 around days before check in), and the code to the smart lock on the door (around 2:30 pm the day of check in) There are many places to rent a cabin online, but Suches Vacation Rentals doesn't just rent cabins. We provide guided check ins, recommendations on local hikes and sightseeing, and staff on hand from 9am to 9pm to help you with your stay. An electric radiator heater is provided in the cold season and standing air conditioner in the warm season as appropriate. There is a heated mattress pad on the bed in the winter for comfort while sleeping. Service providers ie: Power and Internet can be slow to respond when there are outages or router issues due to the rural nature of our community. Wifi is not as strong as you find in cities and can be more strongly impacted by weather. We will do our best to correct it when it goes out but are at the mercy of the only providers that service Suches. Critters are bound to happen through the area and small ones can even find their way inside seeking shelter from the elements. We have preventative pest services at all of our properties but being located in the forest there will be some visitors. If you are uncomfortable with an occaisional spider, beetle, or even sometimes mouse, glamping may not be the adventure for you. Supplies - We provide an intial stock of supplies. These include 1 roll of paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper, 5 kitchen trashbags, and a new sponge. If you suspect you will need more than this during your stay, you will want to pick up extras with your groceries. Suches Vacation Rentals operates in a beautiful but very remote area of the North Georgia Mountains. Because professional linen services are not available locally, we personally handle all laundering in-house. We provide one bath towel and wash cloth per guest according to the maximum occupancy of a cabin. If you need extra towels during your stay, just let us know and we’ll do our best to arrange them based on availability. We appreciate your understanding and your help in supporting our efforts to conserve resources and reduce waste while maintaining comfort for every guest. HOT TUB: A high standard of cleanliness is extremely important to us, so our team follows strict guidelines and drains, cleans, and refills the hot tub between every guest. Because of this, the hot tub may still be heating when you arrive. Hot water - The size of the water heater is in proportion with the tiny home. That is to say, it is small, so hot water supply if briefer than locations with larger water heaters.
