Perched on the slopes of its own 4 acre wooded valley, QBV is a traditional Portuguese smallholding now fully renovated. The space The Pacific quintanha named after the largest ocean is our largest guest home - 72 sq metres with 2 queen sized bedrooms and a huge bathroom with custom walk in shower. Originally housing the wood-fired oven and primary kitchen (Portuguese kitchens were mainly in a separate building due to the woodsmoke) this building and the barns adjoining it have been gutted and rebuilt, although the cooking area has been preserved and behind the original bread oven door the domed brick oven remains exactly as we found it (minus a lot of spiders and cobwebs). The Pacific has 2 terraces accessed from the double doors of your living room and ground floor bedroom. There is a pellet burner to warm the place during out of summer rentals and with a dishwasher, full oven, 3 ring gas hob, Dolce Gusto coffee maker it is well equipped for a long stay. Guest access Each accommodation has its own private entrance and private outdoor space too. There is a central courtyard that links the buildings and gardens surround then lead down to the 4 1/2 acre wooded valley. Other things to note Knowing how frustrating it can be renting rural properties and arriving to an empty fridge and cupboards, we provide an extensive starter pack including milk, butter, cold meats, cheese, bread, fruit, tea, coffee, wine and beer along with essentials such as washing up liquid, paper towels, oils and vinegars etc. Recognising the ever restrictive luggage allowances on flights we also provide toiletries and beach towels. Scrabble and Bingo are our 2 rescue dogs - they will happily join you for a walk in the valley! Registration Details 34659/AL
