There's a community pier that provides direct, private access to the sound for crabbing, kayaking, or windsurfing. When you arrive, skip the stairs and use the building elevator to send up your luggage and groceries. Nearby are great local restaurants, shopping, and numerous family attractions including Jennette's Pier, Jockey's Ridge, and Bodie Island Lighthouse. Can’t stay an entire week? Sunset Sound is available for short stays with flexible arrival/departure options. For guests who like to plan ahead, partial week stays (three-night minimum) can be reserved months in advance. Avoid the weekend traffic by choosing any day of the week for check-in and check-out.
