Vacation home with mountain views in hiking region

This lovely and serene hundred-year home at the foot of the Rax is a real gem. Well kept throughout the decades by our family, it is a place which makes you feel at home, in a peaceful and relaxing environment that offers the ideal atmosphere and amenities whether you wish to adventure on the mountains, stay in for a barbecue, go for a stroll over the nearby hills, go for a quick dip in the stream, home-office with a beautiful view, or even just disconnect and enjoy the surrounding nature. The space This lovely vacation home is located in the picturesque setting of Reichenau an der Rax, and was built as a summer resort in the late 19th century. It is situated at the foot of the Rax mountain range of the Northern Limestone Alps, making it an ideal starting point for mountain adventurers and admirers alike. Guest access The entire house is reserved for our guests, with no shared spaces. Our guests have complete access to the first floor (which includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a bathroom and a loggia) and the surrounding garden - this includes the small hillside forest across the footbridge and a cute stream which flows across the backyard of the house. The basement, attic and second floor are not accessible and are not displayed in the listing. Additionally, upon request, we offer the following amenities: - Sun lounges; - Small swimming pool for children; - Barbeque grill, grilling cutlery and wood from our forest; - Home-Theater: projector (sound-system built-in), projector screen and HDMI/USB-C cable for connectivity. Other things to note Important to note that as this is a is a 100-year-old summer home, the insulation is not up to par to modern standards and there are no electric or central heating present in the house. Luckily, the three wood ovens (bedroom, kitchen and living room) which keep the house comfortably warm even during the coldest nights of winter. For supplementary heating, we also provide one electric radiator. During the other seasons of the year, the stone walls maintain the house nice and cool, notwithstanding hot summer months.
