Relax in a circular space with the sound of the trees and birds and take time out from the world in our beautifully decorated and fully furnished yurt. Ashkey is set within a young woodland, we planted over 30 years ago ,along with two other yurts and two small caravans. This space is ideally suited to couples or individuals hoping to get away for a relaxing break in nature. The space We are a smallholding with workshops, and a small community of like minded people. We try to live as environmentally friendly and sustainably with solar panels and a reed bed system, polytunnel, veg beds, dogs, hens and horses. We do not provide duvet covers, pillow cases and towels (if you require these please message us, for an additional charge of £40). Guest access Inside the yurt is a small kitchen area with a 2 ring gas hob with pots, pans and everything to make a simple meal and a brew. There is a double bed, drawers, dressing table, dining table, four chairs, a sofa and a wood burning stove. Immediately outside is a covered area for sitting by a small fire, with a washing up stand. There is a communal fire pit in the central area that has a BBQ and seating, and also an outdoor tap and compost toilet. There is a basic electric shower and flushing toilet, a short walk away in the farm yard. Please note there is no electricity in the yurt, we provide tea lights and some solar lighting, and a torch. You would be advised to have charging facilities in your car and a spare torch for late arrivals! (there is electric in the shower room). Other things to note Want to get away with some friends? Check to see if Bramble the Retro Caravan, Rosa the Gypsy Wagon , Willow and Yewberrie Yurt are available too, and have few days exploring the lakes with a group of friends and enjoy evenings around the central camp fire!
