Wine Trails: The Rogue Valley is home to four wine trails. The shortest trails can be completed in just a day, while others may span a whole winederful weekend. 1) The Upper Rogue Wine Trail. 2) The Applegate Wine Trail. 3) Jacksonville Wine Trail is centered on the nine wineries within a few miles of Medford. 4) The Jacksonville Wine Cruise, a six-hour shuttle-based adventure filled with wine tastings and food pairings. 5) The 22-mile Bear Creek Wine Trail has a mix of all of the above. After all, with a dozen wineries and tasting rooms on this Rogue Valley wine trail alone, there’s guaranteed to be a whole lot of diversity in the wines you’ll taste and the people you’ll meet along the way. Wineries & Tasting Rooms Within this one Southern Oregon valley, there are over 80 world-class wineries in Southern Oregon Within 1 hour of our location. Applegate Uncorked is another noteworthy Southern Oregon wine festival held twice annually—the Saturday after Mother’s Day in May, and the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving in November. This self-guided Medford wine event gives visitors the opportunity to hop from one local winery to another (with up to 18 participating wineries) to munch on appetizers, learn about the wine-making process, and of course sample loads of wines. And although it’s not strictly a wine festival, no list of Rogue Valley events is complete without mentioning the Heart of the Rogue Festival. This two-day October event celebrates Medford’s coolest artists, makers, and growers. With everything from live music to bicycle races, craft vendors, and even a marathon, there truly is something for everyone—including wine lovers!
