Bicycles, cinema, playground, private office, BBQ spaces and two spas can be used free of charge: private farmhouse spa for 2 (sauna, relaxation lounge, natural pond) and corn barn spa for up to 6 (bio/Finnish sauna, outdoor area). Restaurant at the farm: regional breakfast, weekend brunch, from Wed-Sun 5 pm evening kitchen. Farm shops, two shops, hiking trails from the house around the lake. All this awaits you in our Corn Barn – in the middle of the 178-soul village of Bissee. Bissee is located in the heart of Schleswig-Holstein Switzerland with its lakes, forests and an agricultural, slightly hilly landscape – for many one of the most beautiful regions to spend a vacation and simply breathe. The Corn Barn is decorated in a country boho style and has a total of 10 rooms. Wood, natural colors and materials characterize the decor and ambiance. Your room offers you a view of the countryside – of the village and the fields around Bissee. Chickens, cows, sheep, birds and occasionally a tractor are often the only sounds that accompany you here. In the small self-service stands on the street in the village you can discover and buy a lot. Or you can go over to our restaurant "Hof Bissee" and enjoy upscale rural cuisine with dishes and ingredients from the region – in summer on the terrace and in winter by the open fireplace. Your bed with lots of pillows invites you to relax while you might be running the bath. Towels and bathrobe are provided to complete your spa day. The spa in the Corn Barn is free for you and can accommodate up to 6 people. It includes a Finnish sauna and a bio sauna overlooking the garden, a relaxation room with an XXL lounge for relaxing, as well as a rainforest shower and a massage shower. Outside in the garden you can enjoy fresh air and relax. You can easily reach the entire area from your room in a bathrobe. Please bring your own bathing flip-flops for hygienic reasons. Please also be aware of the spa rules so that all guests can enjoy this area equally. Right at the Corn Barn, you can park your car for free and drive to the entrance for loading and unloading during check-in and check-out. In the hallway you can hang wet things, put down rubber boots and from there reach your room and the spa in the sauna house opposite. In the back garden there is a playground for the little ones – and dogs are welcome here. From the house you can hike through the village, stop by our restaurant "Hof Bissee" for coffee & cake, walk the hiking trail around Lake Bothkamper, jog, take a bike tour or make your way to one of the beaches of the Kiel Fjord, which are about 25 minutes away. Kiel is about 20 minutes away, Hamburg and Lübeck are about 50 minutes away, and Hamburg Airport is about 40 minutes away by car. In Bordesholm, about 7 minutes away, you will find supermarkets, pharmacies and drugstores as well as everything for everyday needs. Guest access Of course, you have your room completely to yourself. In the Corn Barn there are 9 more next to your room. The SPA area can be used by a maximum of 6 people. Other things to note The "Corn Barn" and your room in it is located in the "Bothkamper See" nature reserve in the small farming village of Bissee. The room has a cozy SPA with a Finnish sauna and an organic sauna, XXL quiet lounge, showers, Wi-Fi, bicycles and a courtyard with interior shop, playground and garden house. Hiking and running trails by the house. Our restaurant "Hof Bissee" with upscale cuisine is nearby. Depending on the weather, you should have bathing flip-flops for the SPA (bathrobes and towels are on site), sunscreen and maybe mosquito spray. For autumn and winter, we recommend rubber boots and a rain jacket so that you can explore nature even in the wet season before visiting the spa.
