Solar-powered, your private suite is 1 of 3, side-by-side in the garden courtyard of our 1917 Cape Dutch heritage home. Expect safe gated parking, a quality mattress and bedding (all suites), block-out curtains, an en-suite shower, Netflix, free WiFi, a USB plug, a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, kettle, a patio area, and a shared barbeque area. You are free to enjoy the garden and outside areas, which include a barbeque courtyard. The space This stately century-old Cape Dutch home under its giant oak rivals the very best the Western Cape offers. Sensitively restored with you in mind and beautifully decorated you will want to spend hours here, as our day visitors often do. The Teal Suite has vintage damask and regency stripe wallpaper and a solid old enamel cast iron bed in mustard yellow. You'll find everything you need in your self-catering room, and we can do laundry for you on request (at your own risk), or tumble dry items for you, all at a small additional charge. Solar-powered to minimise the inconvenience of loadshedding/power outages. Guest access You'll have your own set of keys and gate remote. Our suite guests are most welcome in our house restaurant, home pub, large garden, and outside entertainment areas under the giant oak and on the sundowner deck. There is a large courtyard near the suites for braaing and relaxing. Other things to note You are free to smoke but kindly do so outside on your patio, in the garden or outside the entertainment area. The only reason our instant book option is turned off is to avoid double bookings (our local booking management platform has difficulty accepting Airbnb bookings). We are sure to accept your booking, should we have availability, and to respond rapidly to your request, we just need to manually add it to our booking platform first. Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be arranged on request and if you have laundry we can assist. Solar-powered to minimise the inconvenience of load-shedding/power outages. We can recommend two local shuttle services for airport transfers or wedding venue transfers. There is a lot to do in Heidelberg if you know where to go or who to call. We can put you in touch with a local history expert who does excellent tours. Pre-book an excellent pain-relieving massage to your room, book a horse ride, or take a free walk on a beautiful local farm. You can also swim and picnic at a local camping resort at a discounted day rate (availability and operational hours dependent).
