Fantastic location for a country break or to explore the South Cotswolds, Bath and the beautiful towns nearby. 1500sq ft cottage. 3 large bedrooms and a separate large kitchen make it perfect for get togethers. Please note the bedroom with the single beds is only accessed by the middle bedroom. Ideal village for walks straight from the door to the river or the pub! Local shop. Closest town is Malmesbury. The space The cottage is adajacent to the main house which is part of the village's manor house. Built using traditional Cotswold stone with a bright and spacious interior. 3 large bedrooms, living room including dining area and large kitchen. We can accommodate 2 normal sized cars on the driveway, free parking is available nearby in the village if you have more cars/large vehicles. Set in a sun trap it is catches the sun, where you can relax amongst the Wisteria, on a cold day you can warm up with the log burner. Don't forget to bring wellies or walking boots to explore the endless walks and trails, many accessible from the front door. For children there is a playground and large park/allotments in the village (the very first allotments in the country). At the end of the lane is a pub and welll stocked village shop. Further afield is Malmesbury (10 minutes drive)home to a very rich Norman and Anglo Saxon history, with the beautiful Abbey Gardens and Abbey to explore. Tetbury home to many quirky, independent antique shops and the King is just 15 minutes away. The closest train station is Chippenham where UNESCO heritage city Bath is just a 10 minute journey by rail. Or Bristol is another 10 minutes on the train. Castle combe, Corsham and Bradford on Avon are also easily accessible by car. We look forward to meeting you and helping you explore this beautiful and fascinating part of the Cotswolds.
