Description
The Bothy is on a working farm and equestrian centre on edge of 'The Little Red town' of Kirriemuir, gateway to the Angus Glens in the east of Scotland. The space The Bothy has a simple, cottage feel with an integrated kitchen and living area, wood burning stove (with real wood), TV, stereo, etc. Downstairs in the living area it has a very comfy double bed settee and lots of soft furnishings. We want you to be very comfortable. Upstairs we have a compact mezzanine area with a fabulous Kingsize bed. In total the accommodation sleeps 2 but can accommodate up to 4. We would like to bring to your attention that the stairs are steep and may not be suitable for children or people with mobility issues. The Whole house is centrally heated but also has the added benefit of a wood burning stove. Cooking is by gas and the shower is fantastic and an ideal pressure which has been complimented on many times. Guest access Guests will be given their own key and can come and go as they wish. The farm is open access to all and we enjoy the public walking their dogs or just wandering round our tracks. The Bothy is on the edge of the farm therefore if you are not "horsey" then you are a distance away from the stables. Ours is a working yard so "horsey" activities are going on all the time. Access to the town centre is approx. five minutes (Doon the brae and up the other side) We have lots of nice pubs and tearooms and Ice cream shops in the town centre. Great wee local called the Kerymor Tavern (The hole in the wa') is just down the road from the farm - three minutes away. We have a bus stop right at our door so Forfar and Dundee are no distance away. There's lots of bonny areas around the farm to sit outside. Other things to note We offer 20% off any horse riding or lessons at our equestrian centre. Just ask at time of booking.
