Description

We’ve recently finished renovating our beautiful home in Bristol. Set over three floors, there are three double rooms (1 with a king-size bed) and 1 smaller (kids) bedroom with a raised single bed and sofa/ small pull out bed underneath. Plenty of plants, art, blankets and home comforts! Perfect for families to come and stay as we live in a quieter area, only 2 minutes walk from a big park and from a bus stop with regular buses into the centre that take less than 30 minutes. The space Our home is a Victorian semi-detached house in the North East of the city. It is well-loved, spacious and cosy home set in a quiet area. The house is over three floors with lots of large windows bringing in plenty of light (which makes our house plants very happy). We have a large driveway in the front of the house with space for two cars. As you enter the hallway on the ground floor the kitchen & dining room is to your left. We both love cooking and this is our dream kitchen, with a large island and plenty of space for preparing meals, a large oven and array of kitchenware, sharp knives! and a wide variety of herbs and spices. There is also a large Kitchen window sofa (an ideal place to lie down whilst someone else does the cooking!) There is a table that can seat eight- ten people and a bi fold door leading to the garden for those warmer days (which we do occasionally get in Bristol!)! Leading off the kitchen is a small utility room with sink, fridge-freezer, washing machine, heated clothes drier and a downstairs toilet. To the right as you enter the house is a cosy living room with a woodburner, two sofas, a 43 inch HDTV with access to our Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts and a large bookcase (you are welcome to borrow any books to read whilst you are staying). The first floor has three bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and toilet and a separate shower room. The master bedroom at the front of the house is light pink with a very comfy King-size bed. There is a light green room with a double bed and a blue kids rooms with raised single bed which has a sofa underneath that can be made into another small bed. The top floor has a small white double room and another kids room that is not part of the let as we are using it for storage (the house is normally a 5 bed). We have a large garden with two small lawn areas, two seating areas and a greenhouse and veg/fruit patch. There is a fire pit that has a grate so could also be used as a BBQ. There is wi-fi throughout the house and a Bluetooth speaker in the living room and Bluetooth radios in the kitchen and master bedroom. There is no smoking in the house please but in the garden is fine. We a young(ish!) couple with two kids (14 and 12) and this is our home so it is a lived in and loved space! During times we are away, we would like to welcome other families and adult friends as guests who will be respectful as we don’t want to annoy our lovely neighbours and we want people who will take care of our well-loved home. We don’t allow pets I am afraid and have a shoes off at the door rule for everyone, so worth bringing slippers or thick socks as all our downstairs floors are wooden parquet. We are a few miles from the centre of Bristol and 3 minutes walk to a bus stop where you can get the 49X bus into the centre in about 30 minutes. A few minutes walk down the hill takes you to the Bristol to Bath cycle track, which will take you into Bristol in 25 minutes by bike (and those that enjoy cycling could reach Bath in about an hour!). Page Park is a lovely park at the top of our road (2 minutes walk) with free tennis courts, a lovely café, a number of play areas and a sensory garden. Staple Hill high street is only 3 minutes walk and you can find all sorts of local shops, greengrocers, butchers, refill shop, health food shop and a supermarket. Guest access The entire home and garden (aside from one room and cupboards that we are using for storage)
