Bear Hollow is a 3+loft bedroom, 2.5 bath log home just 5 minutes from Cannon Mountain & Mittersill. The perfect destination for all seasons, it's nestled in the mountains and woods of Franconia, NH. Easy access to the White Mountain National Forest for hiking, biking, zip-lines and swimming. There are several nearby golf courses and ski areas. The house has a wrap-around porch, fully equipped kitchen and gas fireplace. Reservations for guests over the age of 25 or families w/children. No pets. Master bed and full bath on main level with dining/living/ kitchen area. Upstairs is 2 bedrooms, full bath and loft (the single bed). There's a desk and second TV in the master bedroom. Guests have access to the entire property including the unfinished basement with ping pong table. There is a fire pit on the property that is available for use. Please make sure the firepit is located 20' away from the house and supervised when in use. I live a few miles away and am available by text or call if you need anything. Franconia center, just 1.5 miles from the house, has a small full-service market, the Iron Furnace brewery, great pizza at Plain Kate's, breakfast and lunch - the Hungry Bear. There's hiking, skiing, swimming and kayaking/canoes/paddle boats at Cannon/Echo Lake. Franconia contains part of Franconia Notch State Park, in the White Mountain National Forest. In the park, Cannon Mountain features a ski area and an aerial tramway. At the tramway base, the New England Ski Museum traces the sport’s history. Nearby, Echo Lake has mountain views and a beach. In town, poet Robert Frost’s former home, the Frost Place, is now a museum. Sugar Hill (fantastic views) has golf as well as dining at the Sunset Hill House, Polly's Pancake Parlor, fine dining at the Sugar Hill Inn. Littleton offers Schilling Brewery, the Freehouse Tap Room, The Little Grille, Littleton Diner, coffee and light fare at the Inkwell, food shopping at Shaw's and the Coop, and many nice gift shops. Bethlehem has Reklis Brewery, The Cold Mountain Cafe, coffee and breakfast/lunch at Maia Papaya's, pizza and Italian food at Rosa Flamingo's. There's a summer concert series at the cinema, and several nice gift shops. Golf at Bethlehem Country Club and Maplewood courses. Twin mountain/Bretton Woods is just 25 minutes drive. There you will find many restaurants, the Cog Railway (Mt. Washington), Mt. Washington resort, golf, horseback riding, hiking, snowmobile rentals and trails (Twin Mountain), skiing, zip lining, mountain biking (Bretton Woods). Jefferson is the home of Santa's Village.
