Welcome to our house at peaceful Sjursnes in Tromsø, in the middle of Tromsø city center and Lyngen. Here it is quiet and peaceful with a view of Lyngen alps. Optimal conditions to view Northern Lights. Dog sledding and sledding on Breikvikeidet only 10 km away, ice fishing, mountain hiking in the village and in Lyngen. The house has two living rooms, dining table with room for 10, 5 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms, and private sauna house with stunning views. New in 2025: Newly renovated bathroom on the 1st floor Very suitable for ski groups! The space The house has a porch facing south and a porch facing east with great views. There is little light in the village and visitors will be able to see a more intense Northern Lights and is much larger number of stars in the sky than in more illuminated areas such as Tromsø city center. Private sauna building with relaxation area. Wood-fired sauna stove with stunning views from the panoramic window. Ocean views and lots of wildlife in the area. You can see both eagles and hares from the house if you are lucky. From the house it is a short distance to the top of Karltinden, Storheimfjettet, Finnheimsfjellet, Lavangstinden and Nakkefjellet. Great conditions for ice fishing at Nakkevannet. The house is equipped with an ice drill. The world's northernmost 18-hole golf course is 20 km from the house, this is open in summer. Guest access Possibility of flexible check-in/check-out time. Guests have access to the whole house alone. Guests with ski gear can have access to garage for storing skis and other gear. Other things to note This is quiet and deserted place that you must have your own car to use. It is a village with about 100 inhabitants, about 64 km from Tromsø city centre, 50 km from Lyngen city centre. There are no restaurants in the village. The house has a well-equipped kitchen so that you can cook for yourself. There is a grocery store with gas pumps in the village about 3 km from the house that is open Monday-Thursday 10 am - 5 pm, Friday 10 am - 7 pm and Saturday 10 am - 3 pm. There is no electric car charger at the house or in the village. The nearest charging station for electric cars is in Tromsdalen.
