Where the Past Meets the Present The space Located in the heart of the Medieval village of Scotlandwell, The Well Country Inn has been welcoming visitors for over 300 years. The inn is a quiet, traditional country pub with six guest rooms located in an annexe building to the rear of the car park. Room 2 is located on the ground floor and features a superking size bed with feather and down bedding and ensuite bathroom (shower over bath). No pets are allowed in this room. Continental Breakfast is available 8am to 930am at an additional charge of GBP 10 per person, please advise at the time of booking if this is required. (minimum 72 hours notice required) Our restaurant is currently open: Thurs to Sat 12pm to 2pm and 5pm-7.30pm Sun 12pm to 4pm. Our bar is open daily, 4pm until the last man goes home! ;0) There is a good selection of local restaurants within a short drive. At the centre of the village is an ancient holy well whose legendary curative properties led the Scottish king Robert the Bruce to visit seeking a cure for his leprosy. The Well is also said to have been visited by Charles II and Mary Queen of Scots. It’s reputation made it a place of pilgrimage during the Middle Ages and for several centuries after.
