Guests should be comfortable using a wood stove. The wood stove is the ONLY source of heat in the winter. It is very warm and cozy, but it’s up to you to keep the fire burning. Your host will start a fire prior to your arrival to make sure the space is warm during the winter months. Firewood is supplied during your stay. The bathroom is a portable unit outside the yurt. Hand sanitizer is provided in the portable unit. A 20L water carrier with spigot is provided for your use. Please ensure only liquids go down the drain. All coffee grounds and food waste should be placed in the garbage. During the winter months, the drain pipe is closed and a dish bin is placed in the sink (wastewater can be disposed of in the snow). There is no wifi, but the cell service is adequate. A portable generator is provided for phone charging if needed.
