Numero 33

Description

In the heart of the medieval village of Cori, between the Temple of Hercules (1st century B.C.) and the Monte Pio Fountain, Numero 33 is the ideal starting point for discovering the authentic Lazio. Just a few minutes away from the Garden of Ninfa, Sermoneta, Lake Giulianello, the Abbey of Valvisciolo, Rainbow MagicLand, the Rocca Massima zipline, paragliding in Norma, and the Via Francigena. Historical events, cooking classes, and tastings are offered year-round. The space Welcome to Numero 33. The flat takes its name from its house number, but for us, 33 also symbolises balance: between the past and the future, between travel and home. It seemed the perfect name for this place, where the charm of the historic centre meets modern comfort. Here, time slows down, the fireplace makes the evenings cosier, and every alleyway tells a story. Numero 33 aims to be a place where every guest can feel at home, even when far from their own. Situated on the ground floor in the heart of the historic centre of Cori Monte, the flat is housed in a building that was rebuilt following the Second World War bombings that struck the village. Today, it combines the authentic character of the village with all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. The accommodation features: • a double bedroom with a flat-screen TV, mosquito net and security grilles; • a living room with a traditional fireplace, a 50-inch Smart TV, a sofa bed and a relaxation area; • a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and a full set of crockery; • a modern and functional bathroom; • air conditioning and heating; • free Wi-Fi. On clear days, you can admire a view stretching across the Pontine Plain as far as the Circeo Promontory and the Pontine Islands. For those travelling by bike, up to two bikes can be stored inside the flat. If you’re travelling with sports equipment (paragliding, climbing, trekking, etc.), please contact us before arrival: we’ll discuss the space required together. The room is cosy and welcoming. As it’s located in the historic centre, during the day you may hear residents passing by in the alley outside – a typical feature of Italian medieval villages. Guest access Guests will have the entire flat to themselves in complete privacy, including all the rooms and facilities. Check-in is straightforward and we’ll always be on hand to help with anything you need. Other things to note Number 33 is the ideal starting point for visiting some of the most beautiful places in Lazio. Just a short walk away • Temple of Hercules (1st century BC), one of the best-preserved Roman temples in Italy. • Monte Pio Fountain (17th century). • Museum of the City and the Territory. • The Southern Via Francigena. • The historic centre of Cori, with traditional restaurants, historic bakeries and shops where you can buy extra virgin olive oil and local produce. Within 15 minutes • The Garden of Ninfa, described by the New York Times as ‘the most romantic garden in the world’. • Sermoneta, listed among Italy’s most beautiful villages and dominated by Caetani Castle. • Valvisciolo Abbey. • Lake Giulianello, a Natural Monument since 2007 and a site promoted by the FAI, ideal for walks, birdwatching and e-bike excursions. • Norma, famous for paragliding, rock climbing and spectacular views of the Lepini Mountains. • Chocolate Museum. • The region’s renowned wineries, where you can taste internationally recognised DOC and organic wines, such as Carpineti and Cincinnato. Experiences not to be missed • Rocca Massima zipline (with special rates for our guests), one of the longest and most spectacular in Europe. • Rainbow MagicLand in Valmontone. • Piana delle Orme, one of Italy’s most important historical and ethnographic museums. • San Felice Circeo and Sabaudia, with the beaches of the Circeo National Park. • Rome, easily accessible by car or train for a day trip. Events throughout the year Cori hosts numerous events that make every season special: • The Oath of the Priors (June); • The Historic Parade of the Districts; • Special openings of the Ninfa Garden; • Traditional cookery courses and tastings; • Folk festivals, cultural events and food and wine festivals. Special rates are available for our guests for guided tours of the historic centre, the museum and certain local experiences. Number 33 is not just an apartment: it is an invitation to experience the most authentic side of Lazio, amidst Roman history, medieval villages, unspoilt nature, fine wines and traditions handed down through the centuries. We are certain that, when you leave, you will take away much more than just a memory. Registration Details IT059006C2KHVESLP8
