The house was formally know as Heading’s farm house. The older stonework has been dated in relation to Peterborough cathedral. Archeological digs in the front and rear gardens confirmed occupation in both Roman and Saxon times. We hope that you enjoy going back in history and time during your visit. The house has been recently renovated & all the appliances, furniture and carpet inside are new. We hope you find it comfortable and enjoyable. Guest access The whole of 1103A is for your use during your stay. You are welcome to use the front and rear garden areas as you wish. The rear garden can be accessed from the utility room door which is also the rear fire exit. The rear garden can also be accessed from the side gate which is never locked. The front grass area is noisy adjacent to the road but the rear walled patio area is reasonably quiet, secluded and not overlooked. There is lighting over the rear patio, the switch’s are in a weather proof box at the top of the stairs. There is also a new gas barbecue which you are welcome to use. Please ensure it is cleaned after use. In hot weather the rear fire escape door can be opened on to the shaded Yew tree area to provide additional ventilation Please tale care on the rear paved area, the large 300 year old Yew tree and Laurel's that provide shade and privacy, but the roots cause the paving slabs to move constantly. There is a tree house for small children at the end of the front garden. Children are welcome to play in the tree house but obviously at their own risk. It’s 4ft (1.2m) above ground level over thick Ivy on the ground.
