Mountain Abode Methven

Welcome to Mountain Abode Studio! The new place where you can stay to relax, unwind and explore what Methven has to offer. The studio is part of a newly built house which we moved into in 2024. Mountain Abode studio is attached to the main house but is a self-contained place with own bathroom, kitchenette and outdoor area. Guests will enjoy a snuggly king-sized bed, 65 inch TV and a comfortable sofa. Making it the perfect place to relax after a big day of adventures. The space Methven Abode Studio is situated on the outskirts of Methven, being under a 10 minute walk into the heart of Methven or a stone throw away to Opuke Hot Pools. Methven is located 30 minute drive from Mt Hutt Ski Area or an 1 hour drive from Christchurch. When designing the Mountain Abode Studio we wanted to make sure nothing was missed to give you the best stay possible. The kitchenette includes a full fridge/ freezer, Nespresso pod coffee machine, Smeg toaster/ kettle, portable cooktop, air fryer and a microwave. It’s the perfect spot to make yourself morning breakfast or an afternoon platter. Filled with an abundance of light and warmth the bathroom features a tiled glass shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. Ecoya hand soap and body wash are available for you to use during your stay. To keep all of your luggage out of sight store it in the walk in wardrobe equipped with coat hangers and beach towels. Need somewhere to store your ski’s, snowboard’s or other snow gear? Inside the studio are two big cupboards built to house all of your alpine equipment. Please note no smoking or vaping inside the studio, please do this outside.
