Welcome to The Muse – our newly redesigned Mid-Century Modern home nestled on a quiet side street in the heart of downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic escape, a family trip, or a weekend with friends, The Muse is a perfect starting point for exploring all the town has to offer. From morning coffee to afternoon shopping and evening cocktails, everything you need for a perfect day in Niagara On The Lake is just a short walk from your doorstep. The space (***NOTES: - There has been some repair work going on at The Museum across the street from us and it’s possible that you might hear some construction sounds after 7:30am on weekdays. (Evenings and weekends are not affected.) - We are unfortunately not able to accommodate pets or service animals due to serious allergies in the family. Thank you for your understanding.***) This cozy, character-filled home is owned and personally managed by a local family with years of hosting experience. It features three thoughtfully designed bedrooms equipped with darkening shades for a restful sleep (a Queen on the main floor, plus a Queen and a Twin upstairs) and one full bathroom on the main floor. The eat-in kitchen was fully renovated in 2025, and all the furniture is brand new, blending modern comfort with mid-century charm. The original 1948 hardwood floors have been newly refinished, but they do squeak due to the home’s vintage character. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire 1000 sq ft detached home with a peaceful backyard surrounded by mature trees for added privacy. The private driveway accommodates two large or three small cars. The town of Niagara On The Lake bylaws require all visitors to register their vehicle information as well as home addresses and phone numbers. We will provide you with registration forms prior to or during check-in. Other things to note Unbeatable Downtown Location Step outside the door and find yourself in the heart of historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our home is perfectly situated directly across from the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum, offering a glimpse into the rich history of this charming town. From here, you can explore the very best of NOTL on foot: - Queen Street (6-minute walk): Stroll to the town’s main street, lined with boutique shops, art galleries, and charming cafés. Enjoy a morning coffee at Balzac’s, browse local artisan goods, or pick up a book at the historic Niagara-on-the-Lake bookstore. - World-Class Dining (4-10 minute walk): Whether you’re craving farm-to-table cuisine, fine dining, or a casual bite, you’re spoiled for choice. Restaurants like The Irish Harp, Prince of Wales Tea Room or Treadwell’s are just steps away. - Shaw Festival Theatre (9-minute walk): Experience world-class live theatre at the renowned Shaw Festival, featuring a season of diverse productions. - Waterfront (12-minute walk): Take a scenic stroll to Queen’s Royal Park, where you can enjoy stunning views of Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline. - Niagara-on-the-Lake Tennis Club & Public Pool (4-minute walk): Stay active with a game of tennis or cool off in the seasonal public pool, both located nearby in a beautiful park setting. With everything just a short walk away, you can leave the car behind and fully immerse yourself in the charm of Niagara-on-the-Lake or you can take a short drive to many other attractions: - Niagara Falls (25-minute drive) is a must-see, where you can experience the breathtaking waterfalls, take a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist, or explore the lively Clifton Hill entertainment district. - For wine lovers, the world-renowned Niagara wine region is at your doorstep, with dozens of wineries and vineyards, including Peller Estates, Jackson-Triggs, and Two Sisters, which are within a 5 minute drive. - History buffs can visit Fort George National Historic Site (3 minutes) or take a scenic drive along the Niagara Parkway, often called one of the most beautiful drives in the world, leading to attractions like the Floral Clock, Whirlpool Aero Car, and Butterfly Conservatory (15-20 minutes). - For outdoor enthusiasts, the Niagara Glen Nature Reserve (20 minutes) offers absolutely incredible hiking trails along the Niagara River. - Golfers will love the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club, North America’s oldest golf course, just a 2-minute drive from the house.
