The Shed at Plas Hendre

A beautifully renovated guest lodge/annex adjacent to a Jacobean farmhouse - the perfect place from which to explore the stunning Welsh and Cheshire countryside and towns. The space Unwind and explore in this welcoming and cosy home away from home. Nestled at the base of the Clywdian Range, on the edge of the village of Nercwys, this charming annexe is perfect for lovers of gorgeous countryside and picturesque cities, towns, and villages. This quaint lodge provides a snug and well-equipped home away from home – ideal for couples or small families (baby/toddlers) seeking tranquillity and relaxation. Beautiful countryside (such as the Vale of Clwyd) and scenic walking/cycling trails (including footpaths right on the doorstep, Nercwys Forest and Offa's Dyke) surround this lodge. Guests are also welcome to enjoy our private field and stroll through our planted orchard. For those desiring more well-known outdoor adventures, Snowdonia National Park is about 50 minutes away! Conveniently located, the property is also perfect for more urban exploration – it is a 30-minute drive from historic Chester, Wrexham, 20 minutes from quaint market-town, Ruthin, and 25 minutes from the designer retail park, Cheshire Oaks. The lodge is also only 3 miles from the famous Theatre Clwyd. For international travellers, Liverpool and Manchester airports are within easy reach (circa 1hr). Guest access The lodge is mostly open access to our guests. Sometimes one room in the annexe may be closed off for the personal use of the owners of the farmhouse (note this will not be accessed by anyone during your stay). There is a private store cupboard under the stairs that we ask guests not to enter or take any provisions from in there. If you need anything please ask the host. If you’re unsure about anything, please ask! Thank you Other things to note As The Shed is located in the beautiful Welsh countryside, the WiFi can occasionally drop, but generally is good now that we have the new fibre connection. There is also a good 4G/phone service. Please also note we have a Cocker Spaniel (Bonny) at our adjoining property. She's very friendly!
