Typical so-called Streckhof, over 200 years old, a granite stone building, lovingly restored, surrounded by meadows, at a pleasant distance from the neighboring houses. The space A total of 135 m² of usable living space is available. The living room (30 m²) has a built-in oven (tile stove), which is integrated into the wall to the dining room and thus also warms the dining room. The use of this tiled stove is only permitted after training (risk of explosion in case of incorrect operation!) The spacious bedroom (30 m²) on the first floor is rather cool. The furnishings consist of two simple single beds, an Ikea couch (can also be used as an emergency bed), a simple crib, a box, a chest of drawers, and a writing and make-up table. The special feature of this room is a painted, man-sized, sliding picture of Charlie Chaplin (a student work), behind it a large mirror. The bedroom in the attic (30 m²) is warmer in terms of the room climate, furnished with a sturdy double bed, a built-in box, a comfortable padded corner bench that also functions as a sofa bed and offers sleeping space for two (slim) adults or two children. There is also a simple, very old desk. This room is accessible via a spiral staircase from the living room. The walls of the anteroom are papered with sheets of the newspaper supplement "RONDO" of the daily newspaper "DerStandard." The kitchen was made by the carpenter a few years ago. Electric stove with real extractor hood, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster are available. We are particularly proud of our Art Nouveau furniture in the dining room (kitchen and dining room 27 m²) Guest access Next to the front door, under the roof overhang, there is a folded ping-pong table. When the weather is nice, the paved area in front of the house offers itself as an "action area". Also under the roof overhang is an old box with badminton rackets and similar sports equipment. Next to it is the garbage recycling shed. Firewood is stored in the shed opposite. We also have four simple bikes available for our guests. Of course, there is also an air pump, tools, cleaning rags, etc. Other things to note > As of January 1, 2024, the state of Lower Austria has increased the overnight tax from €0.50 per person per night to €2.50. This does not apply to children up to the age of 15. This overnight tax is to be paid in cash upon arrival! > Pets are not allowed, without exception! > For all guests who know the house due to an earlier booking, there is the possibility of 24-hour check-in.
