The space The charming 2000 sq ft, 5 bedroom/2 bath house originally dates from the 50s when Key Biscayne was first developed. It has a split plan, perfect for 2 families or 2 generations. Surrounded by lush tropical foliage, the house has an outdoor screened-in dining room, lending the house a truly tropical air. The galley kitchen -fully equipped with all the tools needed to prepare delicious meals- includes a gas stove, KitchenAid Stand mixer, high-end cookware, an elecric tea kettle, and a stovetop espresso maker. A short walk to the Ritz from here or a good starting point for a beach walk to the lighthouse. •Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park Family Pass available to guests. This beautiful state park has two restaurants and the new best place to catch island sunsets, The Cleat. •The Key Biscayne Yacht Club's renown summer sailing camp is open to non-members. •Village Community Center: gym, basketball courts, and a heated (near) olympic-size pool, can be accessible for a fee. May not be available due to Covid restrictions. Other things to note Our house is the result of several cultures coming together under one roof. We treasure above all the comfort and closeness with which families and friends interact. The main dining room is outdoors (screened) so there is unavoidable proximity to the weather, which is mostly perfect, but sometimes cold, sometimes rainy, sometimes hot and humid. There is a second table indoors, in the piano room/library if you prefer indoor dining. It also works as a comfortable indoor workspace. We hope you will feel at home here and take full advantage of our "island paradise" . Lastly, please be respectful of our home. We prefer families. This is a lived-in house, not an investment property. When you make your initial inquiry, please tell us something about yourself and the other guests with whom you will be traveling.
