Well equipped and offering a delightful escape to the countryside, the coastal towns of Southwold & Walberswick just a 20min drive away. Our 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are conveniently spaced apart, giving ultimate privacy. Corner Cottage is one-of-a-kind with its unique split-level corner plot layout. It’s got the modern feel of a new build but with all the charm of a traditional cottage. The space We spend a lot of time at our second home, so we’ve made it feel like a real home away from home. It’s very well-equipped and maintained by us. On entering the cottage, you find a small hallway with a coat cupboard and downstairs toilet. A door leads to the kitchen/diner with a table that seats four comfortably. It’s equipped with a RangeMaster cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, and toaster. If you want to cook, you’ll have everything you need, but, of course, you are within walking distance of some excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes, and takeaways. The garden and lower patio are accessed through the double doors. The well-equipped utility room is off the kitchen and offers a washing machine, extra hanging space for your coats, and a boot/shoe rack. A short flight of stairs from the hall leads to the lovely lounge which is comfortably furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, pouffes, throws and cushions. There is a 54"Smart TV and a beautiful feature fireplace (log log burner is just for show). Off the lounge is the conservatory with further seating, it opens onto the upper patio in the split-level garden. Another short flight of stairs leads you to a spacious landing area with a desk providing a dedicated workspace for those who need to check in with work. A door leads to the modestly sized second bedroom which has a wardrobe and 2 bedside tables, the window to the front is fitted with a dim-out blind. Another door leads to the main bathroom with a shower over bath. A further short flight of stairs takes you to the master bedroom with 2 bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table, it has double aspect windows fitted with dim-out blinds and an ensuite shower room. GARDEN The courtyard garden is mostly shady, except during mid summer. It is fully enclosed by walls and a bolted gate. The lower patio has a bistro table and chairs, there are steps to the upper patio which opens, through an archway, into a gravelled seating dining area for four. PARKING We have a private parking space for one vehicle at the back of the cottage, it is accessed 50mtr uphill past 4 neighbours. There is addition and closer public parking on the road beside the property. ACCESSABILITY Corner cottage has a lot of stairs both inside and outside, we therefore do NOT recommend it for the less agile or small children. We apologise for the exclusion. DOGS We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs that are allowed on the ground floor only. We don't allow dogs on the upper floors, carpeted areas, furniture or beds. This way we can keep these areas pet hair and mud free for all our guests, some of whom may have allergies. You will find many dog-friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants in the locality.
