The space The Beach House Kawau offers 5 stunning beachfront suites and a private Bush Retreat Cottage set in gorgeous native bush. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the sparkling blue waters of Vivian Bay and lush greenery of the surrounding native bush from their self-service accommodation. Each unit is air-conditioned and has its own private access, full kitchen, own bathroom and they are tastefully decorated with modern decor & appliances. Guest access **IMPORTANT NOTICE** The main wharf at Vivian Bay has unfortunately suffered extensive damage in the recent storm and is unsafe for the ferry and guests to use. Repairs on the wharf may not be scheduled until early 2026. This means our guests will be dropped off at North Vivian Wharf as an alternative. North Vivian Wharf is a 5-10minute walk from us along the beach. We understand this is not ideal for our guests, transporting their luggage along the beach, especially at high tide and we do apologise for the inconvenience. We do have a beach trolley that will make it easier and will be available for guest use. Access to The Beach House Kawau is by Ferry from Sandspit to Vivian Bay Wharf. Unfortunately, we do not have mooring available for guests at this time. Before arrival guests will be sent information to their beachfront suit and Lock Box Codes. Each unit is enjoyed entirely by that guest. Shared spaces are: Beach & large outdoor courtyard area Other things to note Getting to The Beach House: Kawau Cruises offers Ferry transfers to The Beach House at an additional charge. To book your Ferry please contact Kawau Cruises They also provide Private Water Taxi services direct to The Beach House We have 2x mooring locations. These are available on a First in First Served booking basis and only for staying guests. Please contact us for availability. Alternatively, you may anchor in the bay. Please note: The wharf is privately owned and can only be used to load/unload We are self-catering accommodation only. There is no restaurant onsite. Please Bring your own food supplies. New World in Warkworth will deliver groceries to the ferry at Sandspit. There is a ferry charge for each box, and they ask for you to be at the Wharf (Vivian Bay) to receive your goods. We are dedicated to doing our part to help preserve our environment and will supply eco-friendly, plastic free toiletries for our guests. If you prefer to bring your own, please choose eco-friendly options to help reduce water pollution and chemical exposure. Towels are not included in your apartment so please bring your own toweling. Please leave the units in a clean & tidy condition including taking your rubbish with you to avoid a cleaning & rubbish removal charge of $200.00 It is free for guests to take 1 bag each back on the ferry, it is costly for The Beach House to remove. The rubbish disposal area is located at Sandspit, and we encourage our guests to utilize this free service to avoid any further charges.
