Private Woodland Glamping with Wood-Fired Hot Tub

🌿 Family-run private woodland retreat on the edge of the Peak District. Enjoy exclusive use of our secluded off-grid bell tent, wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, private shower and toilet. Sleeps 2–6 and is dog friendly. There's just one bell tent on site, giving you the entire woodland to yourselves. Slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy evenings around the fire beneath a sky full of stars. The space Set within 4 acres of completely secluded woodland on a working farm, this off-grid glamping retreat offers privacy, nature and a true escape from everyday life. The accommodation is a cosy bell tent with a comfortable double bed, surrounded by trees, birdsong and abundant wildlife. With no electricity, it’s a place to properly switch off and reconnect with the outdoors. A natural stream runs through the woodland, adding to the peaceful setting. Guests can relax by the fire pit, unwind in the hammock nestled among the trees, and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. The site is equipped for comfortable off-grid living, with a hot running outdoor shower, eco composting loo, and an outdoor cooking area with a gas stove, pots, pans, cutlery and BBQ tools provided. Drinking water is supplied. Please note that towels are not provided, so guests will need to bring their own. The car park is located approximately a 5-minute walk from the setting, with a natural incline and uneven ground. Guests are advised to pack light, ideally using backpacks, and to bring appropriate outdoor footwear and weather-suitable clothing. Due to the natural woodland terrain, uneven paths and incline from the car park, this space is not suitable for guests with walking or mobility difficulties. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement for an additional cost. As this is a working farm, you may occasionally see or hear farm activity during your stay. Location & Nearby Surrounded by countryside and woodland, the setting is well placed for exploring the Peak District. There are scenic walks from the farm, with The Royal Oak in Millthorpe within walking distance via country lanes and footpaths. Other excellent local pubs include The Peacock (Owler Bar), The Angel (Holmesfield) and The Peacock (Barlow). Popular nearby destinations include Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Matlock Farm Park, Linacre Reservoir, and the market towns of Sheffield and Chesterfield. Ladybower Reservoir is approximately 45 minutes’ drive away. A car is recommended for exploring the wider area. On-site, guests can make use of our small honesty shop, stocking free-range eggs, logs, home-reared meats, burgers, sausages, bread, honey, disposable BBQs and coals — ideal for relaxed evenings without needing to head out after arrival. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the private woodland glamping area, including the bell tent, fire pit, hammock, outdoor cooking area, eco composting loo and hot outdoor shower. The accommodation is accessed on foot only from the car park. The car park is approximately a 5-minute walk to the setting and includes a natural incline and uneven ground. Access is not step-free and involves walking on natural woodland paths. The surrounding woodland is part of a working farm; guests may see or hear farm activity. Farm operational areas are not accessible to guests. In-person check-in is required, and guests will be met on arrival and shown to the woodland setting. The wood-fired hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled with fresh water for every stay. It is not pre-lit by default. If you’d like the hot tub heated for your arrival, this can be arranged with at least 24 hours’ notice for an additional £50.
