Situated in the Goldsborough Valley, just minutes from the Mulgrave River and National Park on 1 acre of landscaped gardens adjoining rainforest, at the foothills of the Tablelands sits this guest house with a difference. A fully self-contained 1 bedroom air-conditioned unit with the option of a sofa bed, can sleep up to 4 people. 10 minutes from all conveniences and 30 minutes to the heart of Cairns. Complete with Balinese style spa house and BBQ. The space Tropical gardens surround the acreage with a riparian forest area to the rear leading to a permanent creek. The property contains a separate Balinese style spa house for entertainment or relaxing complete with its own BBQ facility, seating, swing chair fridge and garden view. Bamboo, palms and ginger plants provide a haven for a myriad of wildlife including many bird species, bandicoots, small lizards, one lace monitor who makes the occasional appearance, the free range chickens, pet budgerigars and a fish pond for the local frogs. Staying here you are just minutes away from numerous waterholes and rapids of the Mulgrave and Little Mulgrave rivers. 20 minutes upstream in the Wooroonooran National Park the waters of the Mulgrave River are some of the cleanest you will ever see. Please note that Telstra is the only service provider offering phone reception in the valley and once you head upstream this signal is lost also. The bedroom offers a comfortable queen-sized bed for 2 people. Up to two more people may use the double sofa bed in the main area for shorter periods however this may feel crowded for longer periods. Please consider this when making your booking and if this presents no problem then you are all welcome. The unit shares the property with the main house though still maintains your privacy. Your hosts live on the property and are happy to interact or to leave you in peace as you desire. You are free to roam the property but please respect the privacy of the main house. Guest access Guests can check in and check out on their own using the keysafe. Gated off street parking is available though the neighbourhood is very safe should you wish to park on the street. If you have any specific requirements (caravans, trailers etc.) there is room for that too. Just message to arrange. Other things to note Goldsborough Valley is a rural residential area. Please note there is no public transport available in or out of Goldsborough, you will need your own transport. Your stay will be on 1 acre of land and is bordered to the rear by a permanent creek. The Mulgrave River is just minutes away with numerous waterholes waiting to be explored. Telstra is the only mobile service provider in this area however this service also drops off as you head upstream into the valley. Please be aware of this if you are relying on other carriers. There are no shops or food supplies in the valley, you will need to bring provisions with you. Despite this, the local tavern is 5 minutes away and it's just 10 minutes to the conveniences of Woolworths, Fuel Stations, McDonalds, Post Office, Emergency Services and all other conveniences. It is an easy 20 minute drive to the Southern Suburbs of Cairns and 30 minutes to the city centre on a dual lane highway all the way.
