Description
Independent farm of the 19th century, built at the foot of a hill in the heart of the family agricultural estate (apricots, chestnuts) 3 km from the village and 10 minutes from the A7 in Tain l'Hermitage. Our home consists of a renovated living area of 120 m2 spread over 2 levels, a large outdoor courtyard, a magnificent courtyard built in pebbles of the Rhône, old stables (without horses), rabbit hutches (without rabbits), barns (without pigs) and a baume (cellar carved in the rock) The space The habitable part of the house was completely renovated in 2009 in a style combining contemporary and rustic, in order to make it functional and comfortable while preserving its character. The thickness of the walls of our house guarantee you good insulation against the cold in winter and allow natural air conditioning during the summer heat. On the ground floor, the large sunny kitchen is perfectly equipped, it is the living room of the house, conducive both for romantic meals and for convivial moments with family or friends. It also lends itself wonderfully to the joint preparation of meals since the counter is central and open to the rest of the room. The kitchen is separated from the living room by a large industrial-style glass wall and overlooks a courtyard where you can relax in peace on deckchairs, prepare barbecues, play ping-pong or simply listen to the birds while enjoying the many details that abound in this atypical place. Also on the ground floor, toilets and a laundry room equipped with a washing machine for your laundry are at your disposal. Upstairs, an open space serving as an office will allow you to work or read comfortably, with a view of the surrounding hills. Also upstairs are the bathroom, separate toilet and two bedrooms. The bathroom has a large Italian shower and bathtub, towels are provided. The two bedrooms each have a double bed (new bedding and quality bed linen) as well as storage (wardrobe/chest of drawers). They each offer views of the surrounding countryside. Guest access It is hard to imagine that our house is only 10 minutes from the A7 motorway and 15 minutes by car from Valence TGV station, a station that allows you to reach Lyon in only 30 minutes, Marseille in 1 hour and Paris in 2 hours. Water activities in Ardèche, skiing or hiking in Vercors or swimming in the river in Drôme are possible activities to do during the day from our house. Other things to note You will also meet Devinette, the estate's friendly dog, who spends her time outdoors between the 3 houses (outdoors only). She's a lovely dog and there's absolutely nothing to be afraid of. However, as with any animal, we recommend that parents never leave a child alone with an animal without the presence of an adult. If you don't want Devinette to enter the courtyard, we recommend closing the gate.
