The space Racoon's Nook tiny home is 3 of 3 that is near a trickling creek in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Located back in the woods down a long winding mountain road, you'll find all the conveniences of home. If you aren't a camping person but want a little adventure such as climbing a ladder to bed, this is the place for you. A great place to crash after cycling, hiking or kayaking. What is Glamping? Glamping is described as an elevated for of camping. Amenities designed for comfort are typically available such as a bed, indoor plumbing, and electricity. This tiny home does indeed, include a queen bed, a full bathroom with hot water, electricity, Wi-fi, a TV for streaming, and even a hottub! Raccoon's Nook offers a cozy queen bed loft, that in the colder months has a heated mattress pad for your comfort. An electric radiator heater is also provided for heat in the winter and a standalone air conditioner in the summertime. Being a glamping location, you will find the temperature is not customizable to degree a hotel room is but certainly more so than tents, yurts, and the like. The kitchenette has what you need to heat up meals and store your food. A mini fridge, microwave, induction stove top, and most importantly a coffee machine! There is also a charcoal camping grill located outside and a firepit if channeling the camping spirit and roasting hotdogs and marshmallows is more your vibe. The small space does still offer a seat for each guest and small table to eat at, play games, or journal about your experiences in the Chattahoochee Oconee National Forest. The table is also host to a laminated hiking guide so you can find all the best spots to reconnect with nature! Even in the middle of a forest, it can be nice to have a connection to the rest of the world so there is wifi to connect to and a tv you can stream your preferred shows and movies on. Just remember to log out of your accounts when you head home or the raccoons may rent some nature documentaries! Whether your goal is to relax in the hottub, gazing at the stars between the tree cover or fill every moment with adventures (or both) the Racoon's Nook is the perfect place to hole up during your stay in North Georgia. We provide guided check ins, recommendations on local hikes and sightseeing, and staff on hand from 9am to 9pm to help you with your stay. An electric radiator heater is provided in the cold season and standing air conditioner in the warm season as appropriate. There is a heated mattress pad on the bed in the winter for comfort while sleeping. Service providers ie: Power and Internet can be slow to respond when there are outages or router issues due to the rural nature of our community. Wifi is not as strong as you find in cities and can be more strongly impacted by weather. We will do our best to correct it when it goes out but are at the mercy of the only providers that service Suches. Critters are bound to happen through the area and small ones can even find their way inside seeking shelter from the elements. We have preventative pest services at all of our properties but being located in the forest there will be some visitors. If you are uncomfortable with an occasional spider, beetle, or even sometimes mouse, glamping may not be the adventure for you. Supplies - We provide an initial stock of supplies. These include 1 roll of paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper, 5 kitchen trashbags, and a new sponge. If you suspect you will need more than this during your stay, you will want to pick up extras with your groceries. Coffee and laundry detergent are not provided. Suches Vacation Rentals operates in a beautiful but very remote area of the North Georgia Mountains. Because professional linen services are not available locally, we personally handle all laundering in-house. We provide one bath towel and wash cloth per guest according to the maximum occupancy of a cabin. If you need extra towels during your stay, just let us know and we’ll do our best to arrange them based on availability. HOT TUB: A high standard of cleanliness is extremely important to us, so our team follows strict guidelines and drains, cleans, and refills the hot tub between every guest. Because of this, the hot tub may still be heating when you arrive. -------------- BEFORE YOU BOOK, PLEASE READ: -Area wide power outages are common in the mountains and no refunds will be given if an area wide power outage happens during your stay. No refunds will be given for weather related cancellations. -Please be aware that you will be receiving a link to our booking contract via text within 24 hours of making your reservation. If you do not see it come through, please let us know as it must be signed. We are happy to answer any questions about its contents. -This property has all private amenities and is self-check-in. We will text you information pertinent to your stay including a link to our booking agreement (shortly after reserving), a link to the property guidebook that includes the address and important directions (3days before check in), and the code to the smart lock on the door (around 2:30 pm the day of check in) -Our cancellation policy is firm but if there are other dates you would like to move a reservation to. The fee for this will vary from $150 - $300 depending on the cabin, how close to the check in date your reservation currently is and availability. -Pet Fee is $75 per dog. We only allow dogs. No cats. Pets shall always be secured within the boundaries of the property. If the property is not fenced, pets must be kept on a leash and always accompanied by the pet owner while outside. If you plan to go out and leave your dog at the cabin, please know that we require they be crated in your absence. -If smoking takes place on the property during your stay, we will charge you $250 to deodorize and clean the property. - We cannot absolutely honor early check in requests, but we will do our best to accommodate them. Reservations requesting an early check in will not be refunded if we cannot honor the time requested. This is done to benefit the guest so that the property is completely clean and ready at their arrival at 4pm. We appreciate your understanding and your help in supporting our efforts to conserve resources and reduce waste while maintaining comfort for every guest. Hot water - The size of the water heater is in proportion with the tiny home. That is to say, it is small, so hot water supply if briefer than locations with larger water heaters.
