Crossroads, a historic home constructed in 1852, was one of the original stops on the Underground Railroad. It is included in the Historic Walking Tour of Cassadaga. Barry and Gayle acquired the property in 1989. In 2016, a substantial restoration project was undertaken to enhance the farmhouse. Crossroads is a hidden gem, located at the intersection of Glasgow Road, Dale Drive, and Frisbee Road. The property provides access to a wide variety of attractions and experiences. The space The spacious house sits on a four-acre lot. An expansive outdoor area features a covered front porch and a covered patio equipped with a gas grill. A side deck overlooks an outdoor chipping green, complete with clubs and balls. A fire pit, complete with a cooking grill and firewood, is also available. The property also includes a playground with an elevated fort, slides, a climbing wall, a sandbox, swings, and a cornhole game. A large area is designated for running, playing, and flying kites. Sasquatch sitings are possible. Embark on a stroll or a spirited bike ride around the picturesque Cassadaga Lakes, conveniently accessible from our driveway. Within walking distance, you’ll discover the charming Lily Dale, the historic Red House, the esteemed Cassadaga Country Club, and the designated launch site for boats and kayaks, complete with a dock. Renowned for its exceptional fishing opportunities, the Cassadaga Lakes offer a bountiful catch of bass, muskie, and crappie. For an exhilarating adventure, the C4C snowmobile trail awaits at the end of the driveway. The property boasts ample space for accommodating boat and snowmobile trailers. Nestled atop the Chautauqua Ridge, renowned for its abundant snowfall, this house features a spacious heated entry room, equipped with storage facilities for snowmobile clothing, boots, and gloves. Conveniently located just a short distance away, Boutwell Hill State Forest beckons with its snowmobile trails, cross-country skiing, and hiking trails, providing ample opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. The sports bar "Green Room" offers access to a deck and yard. It features an indoor putting green with two holes, putters, and balls provided. This area includes bar games, darts, a TV, a refrigerator, and a sink. Additionally, there is a half-bath with a washer and dryer located off the bar area. The fully furnished kitchen and dining room are open concept. The peninsula seating area also includes a high-top table with stools and a dining table with six chairs. Other things to note Within a five-minute drive, you can access the Stockton Hotel, 3 Lakes Café, Whiskey Hill Saloon, Cassadaga American Legion, Valley Sports, Cassadaga Supermarket, Dollar General, Cassadaga Beach and Library, and Front Door Promise Event Center. Within a fifteen-minute drive, you can reach Fredonia/Dunkirk Lake Erie Boat Launch and Pier. A twenty-minute drive will take you to Amish country, while a thirty-minute drive will lead you to the Chautauqua Lake area and the Jamestown Comedy Center. Finally, a forty-five-minute drive will take you to Ellicottville, and an hour-long drive will bring you to Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
