The space About this space Nestled in a friendly, well-planned neighborhood in Littleton, Colorado, this home provides a cozy and quiet living experience. Recently remodeled, up-to-date finishings and clean line design enhance its spaciousness and add warmth. This 4-bedroom home features sleek finishes, a fully equipped kitchen, and a backyard oasis. Located near parks, shops, and dining, it’s ideal for families or groups seeking style and convenience. Your perfect home away from home awaits! This home was named Hale O’ Hoku (House of Stars) to honor my sweet Golden Retriever, Hoku, whom I rescued here in Denver. We moved to my home state of Hawaii several years ago. Like Hoku, this place represents love, kindness, loyalty, comfort, and fun. Hoku is the Hawaiian word for Star. And here’s where you’ll find actual stars: The sky views from this home are a sight to behold. I hope you’ll enjoy many hokus by staying in our home. When you arrive, you’ll likely see friendly neighbors outdoors, making their best life in this pleasant neighborhood, and soaking up the generally exceptional Colorado weather. The safe neighborhood contributes to a sense of belonging and community as soon as you turn on to my street. A two-car garage is available as well as driveway parking. Come on in, hang up your coat, and kick off your shoes! Have a seat on the comfy sofas in the sunny, welcoming living room, which was created with relaxation and good conversation in mind. Whether you always like lots of light, or less, dimmer lights are available throughout the home to help create the atmosphere that you like best. The Kitchen Steps away from the living room, the kitchen is loaded with all the appliances, cooking and baking tools, and utensils to create delicious food or test a new gourmet delicacy. There’s plenty of space on the kitchen island to comfortably seat four and cool cookies, too. I’ve hosted up to seven guests in this generous space. The kitchen’s bay window has a terrific view overlooking the large backyard patio, where you’ll find a propane grill steps away, so you can cook and socialize, too. Grilling tools are stored in the kitchen. The kitchen has been stocked with a starter supply of dishwasher detergent and cleaning supplies in anticipation of your arrival. The Dining Room The window-filled dining room is my favorite spot in the home. Adjacent to the kitchen and outdoor grilling area, it seats six comfortably, with overflow seating in the kitchen. It’s designed for the basics: a dining table, chairs, and buffet style table. But don’t limit the space to dining. It’s also a perfect place to spread out, whether you’re doing paperwork, crafting, doodling, puzzles, or reading. It’s also a great gathering spot for family and friends for Zoom calls. The Bedrooms The primary suite is on the second floor. Spacious and private, it features blackout blinds to control the light and a ceiling fan to maintain good circulation. The king-sized bed is made up hotel style bedding, with your comfort and quality rest in mind. Vintage bedside tables feature large tops to hold books, phones, and any other personal items you need with charging stations on each side of the bed. And, if you need more at-your-fingertips storage, the bedside tables have pull-out tabletops to support your tablet, laptop, or anything else. For other belongings, there are two hanging closets – the one closest to the window has a just-in-case portable window ladder. Two other bedrooms grace the first floor with the fourth bedroom on the lower level. These three have queen-sized beds – also made up in top-quality hotel style bedding – as well as blackout blinds and ceiling fans. Each of these rooms features a closet and drawer storage, a Smart TV, and charging stations. The Bathrooms Three bathrooms comfortably support up to eight people in this home. The bath inside the primary bedroom has a bathtub, shower, and two new double vanities and mirrors. A small chair between the vanities has a vintage sewing machine chair – one of my favorite pieces. Don’t let its age fool you. It’s comfortable and sturdy! The first-floor bath was remodeled in late fall of 2024 to include a surround shower with glass barn doors and a new vanity and sink, with a pull-out drawer underneath to store beauty and grooming products. The lower-level bath has a shower, toilet, pedestal sink, a medicine cabinet, and shelf. As the smallest bathroom, it’s designed to be attractive and efficient. All bathrooms are stocked with white fluffy towels and washcloths, black towels to remove makeup, and ample racks to hold it all. Extra towels are stored in your bedroom closet. Plenty of cabinet space is available in the first and second floor bathrooms. Each bathroom comes complete with a hair dryer, a starter supply of shampoo, cream rinse, body gel, hand soap, and cleaning supplies. The Living Rooms Need more living space? How about another living room on the lower level? This one features an 86-inch Smart TV so you won’t miss your favorite shows, movies, news, or sporting events. Two full-size sofas offer strong and comfy support, and a generous-sized club chair makes for perfect entertainment seating. Be sure to grab one – or three – of the many cozy throws on hand so you can hunker down and enjoy the show! A large square coffee table doubles as a game table. Four bench-style stools provide extra seating or footrests. If you want alternate fun to watching TV, the other half of the family room is a wide-open, well-lit game area. A collection of games and cards are stored in this space. One of our favorite new additions is an Air Hockey table. It’s fun and ready for play! And, if you’d prefer to lose yourself in a good book or a crossword, there’s a reading area too, with a club chair and good light. Additional Spaces Yoga/Meditation/Pilates/Chill Space The staircase to the second floor leads you to a small loft (referred to as a Gym in the property description) for replenishing and relaxing. It’s furnished in minimal Zen style so there’s plenty of room to spread out a yoga mat or two. Starter sets of yoga/ Pilates equipment are provided for your convenience. And, don’t miss a class with your favorite coach or YouTube instructor with the Smart TV in the space too. As I have practiced yoga over the years, I’ve dreamed of a dedicated space like this, and I’m excited to share it with you. Pssst: You don’t have to exercise to enjoy this cozy space. Recover or just relax in the large, soft bean bag chair. Office Workspace Just behind the Chill Space you’ll find the home’s office/workspace. You’ll have everything you need to get down to business, have online meetings or Zoom, or just focus on a task: a desk and chair, color printer, a supply of all-purpose paper and folders, sticky notes, and a stapler. And when you need a break, all you have to do is look up. The desk is positioned for an awesome view of our beloved Hogback, the foothills to the Rockies. Broom Closet Yes, you read that right! It used to be a coat closet, but we thought this remodel deserved a good old-fashioned broom closet. Here you’ll find all you expect: broom, dust pan, dust mop, cordless broomstick vac, and everything else you need for general clean up. The cordless broom has its own outlet for charging, so after you use it, don’t forget to charge it so it’ll be ready for next time! The shelf at the top of the closet is where we located the modem. Many have wondered if the Wifi is effective, tucked away in the closet. The answer is yes! We find it more attractive behind a closed door and just as effective throughout the house with 500 MB. The Great Outside A huge patio bordered by a beautiful wrought-iron fence was a key part of our 2024 renovation. Four Adirondack chairs surround a propane fire pit that’s raring to go! Imagine a beautiful, cool night sky, a lovely fire, good conversation, and relaxation, with the grill just steps away. (Patio dining will be added this spring.) Although the home itself has had a completed renovation, the landscaping is still in progress. The front yard is large and green as we move into spring and summer. The backyard has a grassy side yard that runs to the back fence. The back section will be completed in the spring. We love the mature trees on this property! Please enjoy them as we do. The trees are sights to behold as the seasons change – they’re at their best in the fall, with tons of colorful leaves. Best of all, a trusty landscaping group maintains the lawn and removes snow after 2 inches, and of course, cares for all those beautiful leaves. Location, location, location! “As the crow flies,” we are: *5 minutes to C470, and 20 minutes from I-70 *Depending on traffic, you can be in downtown Denver in 30 minutes *63 miles to Silverthorne, CO, the gateway to many ski resorts *8.5 miles to The Red Rocks Amphitheatre *12 miles to Golden, CO (Coors Brewing, restaurants and shopping, and tubing at Clear Creek) *35 miles from Central City or Black Hawk, CO for gambling *20 miles to Coors Field – less to Six Flags, or the homes of the Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche, and to great theater, museums, restaurants, and shopping Guest access Entire Home Other things to note I lived in this home for 12 years. During that time, I watched the neighborhood families grow and their kids grow up. My dogs and I walked this neighborhood most days, watching the growing trees, properties change, or new ones develop. I made lifelong friends there who are still part of my family 25+ years later. My home gave me a safe place to live and thrive. It also provided a loving comfortable home for my extended family who moved in and out over the years. So many memories of incredible times that I won’t forget. I am blessed to call this home still mine today. My heart lives there, and the recent renovation has given it a fresh new life. Thank you for being a part of the history and life of my home.
