Welcome to Rushbrook Retreat, located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in West Dorset. Rushbrook Cottage offers a cosy tranquil escape in secluded countryside, with easy accessibility to the beautiful Jurassic Coast beaches & neighbouring towns. Our nearest beach is the beautiful West Bay, Bridport, only 20 minutes by car, with the neighbouring National Trust owned Hive beach just five minutes further along the coastal road. Lyme Regis & Weymouth beach are only 35 minutes away❤️ The space Rushbrook Retreat, an escape to the country, the coast & the beautiful star lit skies. Rushbrook Cottage is one of two refurbished semi-detached cottages located within the 5 acre grounds of our family home. Our cosy Cottage comfortably sleeps 2-4 adults or is a perfect option for families. The accommodation contains a hallway, with access to the lounge, bathroom & kitchen, with the master bedroom off the rear kitchen area. A spacious separate kitchen/diner provides additional space for early morning complimentary coffee or an evening night cap, without disturbing others sleeping in the neighbouring rooms. Kitchen amenities include an electric oven & hob, air fryer, fridge freezer & a washing machine. Complimentary tea/coffee/sugar are provided, with a little bottle of milk being available in the fridge on arrival. Connection to the main house WiFi network is available, with speeds being reflective of the Dorset Slower pace of life! The lounge provides a cosy space to relax in front of the log burner on a wintery day or alternatively open the French doors onto your private patio & garden area to embrace the Dorset sunshine. Sleeping facilities include a Kingsize bedroom, optional Folding single beds, & a double sofa bed in the lounge. A Travel cot with mattress is available on request. Our large family bathroom offers a P-shaped bath with shower, with towels & complimentary shampoo/conditioner provided. A large private patio & small lawned area provide a perfect space to relax & unwind. Outside dining table & chairs are provided. Private parking on a dedicated stoned area is provided for the two cottages. Nearest village shops & bakery are located at Evershot, 2 miles or Beaminster, 5 miles Nearest Pubs both 2 miles away, The Fox Inn, Corscombe & The Acorn Inn, Evershot, with Winyards Gap Pub being only short drive away. Guest access Rushbrook Retreat is accessed via a private driveway through the main house grounds. Please be aware that we are a dark sky night, so a torch is recommended for late arrivals. Other things to note Please note; Dogs are permitted for stays from 1st March to 30th September only, at an additional charge of £10 per night. Please do not allow your dog on any of our furniture or soft furnishings, & we politely request you bring along their bed/blanket for them to get cosy on. A towel for drying wet paws can be provided on request. Please can you ensure your dog is kept on the lead whilst in the grounds of our home. A public footpath is accessible to the rear of our paddock for exercising. Thanks
