The House, Domaine Les Racines

The House is one of four large-capacity gites in Domaine Les Racines. It is a fully restored manor house with its beautiful park of more than 1 hectare. The house has 9 bedrooms equipped with their shower room and a capacity of 15 people. Its garden offers several areas that will allow you to relax, play and organize large-scale events. Frequently used for private receptions or professional events. The space Domaine Les Racines is an old family farmhouse since the 15th century, which began its transformation in the early 2000s. Located in a small typical village in the center of Picardy, Domaine Les Racines welcomes groups and organizes private and professional events. The La Maison gîte, before its renovation, was the Master House inhabited by the owner of the farm. Its history is rich; it was demolished by bombing during World War I and dynamited during World War II. Rebuilt in 1948, it kept its function as the main house until its sale in 2005. The house was sold several times out of the family for a decade (2005-2015). With its acquisition in 2015, Domaine les Racines has regained its full size. (*) The gîte offers a large kitchen equipped for a minimum of 15 people. You will find at your disposal four ovens, including two microwave combinations, two hobs, two fridge-freezers, two dishwashers, a filter coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, and sufficient dishes. You will also find at your disposal a large dining room, a large living room opening onto the terrace and garden and an office in which you will find all the information you need for your stay. An elevator is available upon request and subject to conditions, for people with reduced mobility. Guest access Our area is easily accessible: - By car🚗: we are close to the A29, A1 and A26 motorways and located 1h30 from Paris and 1h from Lille. - By train: - Haute-Picardie TGV station is only 15 minutes from our Domaine. - the stations of Chaulnes, Saint-Quentin and Noyon are located at most 30 minutes from the Domaine. - Shuttle: a shuttle service can be offered for trips between the station and the estate (subject to availability and prior reservation). - Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport is 1 hour from our Domaine. Other things to note We offer different services to make your stay even more enjoyable (with extra charge): - Dining: meals available on request, pricing per person. - Laundry: washing, drying, ironing of your clothes (available Monday-Friday). - Internal activities: we offer various activities on site: - Swimming pool: accessible only during opening hours and in season. One hour included in the rental of the Maison cottage, then optionally according to time slots. - Game room: Great for fun for families or groups of friends. - Bicycles available (optional): to fully enjoy the surroundings (subject to availability). - Bar: for your relaxing moments, themed evenings, karaoke or blind tests. - External activities: We can also connect you with local service providers if you want to discover other experiences. You will also find in each cottage a booklet explaining the history of the Domaine. Room rules and security deposit - Detailed house rules will be sent to you after booking. It will need to be read, approved and signed before your arrival. - A security deposit will be required upon your arrival (amount specified when booking).
