The monsoon season is a magical time to visit if you want to witness Wayanad’s forests, hills, and greenery in their full glory. Picture yourself sipping a hot cup of tea, watching the rain pour down as mist gently rolls over the landscape—it’s nature at its most serene. For those interested in outdoor adventures and wildlife safaris, the summer months (March to May) are ideal. Animal sightings are more frequent during this time, as many species migrate to Wayanad’s forests in search of water and food, making it a great season for nature lovers and photographers. Flora and Fauna Wayanad’s forests are a haven for biodiversity and play a vital role in conserving several rare and endangered species. Among the region’s most iconic wildlife are the Lion-tailed Macaque, Royal Bengal Tiger, and majestic Elephants. Although Wayanad is the least populated district in Kerala, it has the highest tribal population. Many of these tribal communities still speak their native languages and maintain traditional lifestyles. Their expertise in sustainably extracting forest resources, along with their unique weapons, art forms, and handicrafts, are a significant draw for visitors. A visit to Wayanad is incomplete without trying some of the local tribal cuisine, which features traditional recipes made from forest herbs, bamboo shoots, and paddy crabs - an authentic taste of the land. - ⚡️🔋Internet/Power Cut : There maybe a rare power cut since these factors are unavoidable. We do have an invertor as a back up for 2 hours. We hope you understand this and bear with us if such instances happen. 🚭 Strictly No Smoking Inside the Apartment. Smoking is permitted only on the balcony. Please respect this rule to maintain a clean and fresh space for all guests. Please read the following very carefully and confirm that you have read and agree to the following, before confirming the booking: - A valid Proof of ID will need to be provided for each accompanying adult, including the person who makes the booking, before occupying the flat. - Parties and events are not allowed. - Escorts are not allowed. - Visitors are not allowed. - Smoking: Allowed only in the balcony area. Smoking inside the apartment is strictly prohibited. - Use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on property. This includes narcotics, controlled substances, or any other illegal drugs under local law. Violating this policy may result in immediate removal from the place and possible legal action. - In the event you lose the keys to the apartment, you will need to pay the charges towards replacement of the lock (about 4,500 rupees). A spare key will not ensure safety of your belongings and the apartment. - Please be sure to turn off all Lights, Fans, TV & Geysers before leaving the apartment. Electricity = Water, so please conserve! - Air Conditioner, Microwave & Water Heater will not be available in case of power cuts. - If you are not a part of the travel group or are booking on someone's behalf, it is your responsibility to communicate the House Rules and Additional Rules to them. - We kindly request guests to take care of the property. Any damage to furniture, appliances, or facilities may result in additional charges.
