Description
Nestled in the tranquil surroundings of the Devon countryside, this cozy annexe features a double bedroom, with ensuite bathroom, and a kitchenette and living area, with sofa-bed (suitable for smaller kids). It is half of a barn-conversion, on the grounds of a 300 year-old cob and thatch farmhouse, with a driveway area to park right next to the annex. There is a shared garden, lots of local walks, and fields all around. The space The annexe is freshly painted and simply decorated, with everything you need for a short stay in the country. The open plan lounge-diner is cosy, and the sofa bed provides sleeping for an extra child or two (if sharing). Although the accommodation is private, you might see us in the main garden, garden room, or through the farmhouse windows from your garden. The kids will often be playing football or climbing the tree in the garden. During weekdays we are pretty quiet, but outside of school hours you might hear our kids in the garden. And our (small cocker-poo) dog will bark when you come in and out. Guest access You can access the shared driveway, and have a private front door to the Barn. Other things to note There is a functional kitchen, with a basin, microwave, fridge (no freezer) and cooker (oven and hobs). We will do our best to provide anything else that is needed - just ask! We can even run the washing machine and dryer in the main house for your clothes if needed (although it is in our main house). Being in the countryside, the wifi isn't as fast as in larger cities (and sometimes we need to reset the internet or tv). 4G coverage is pretty strong, and we have a separate satellite connection for faster speeds in the garden room if you need to use it for a specific time for a work call. If you want the travel cot or high chair, please ask us when booking.
