Kårtorp, a B&B at Öljarens beach in the beautiful area of Julita, Sörmland. It is only 30 minutes from Katrineholm, which in turn is an hour away by train from Stockholm. The space This is truly a piece of paradise on earth. Here you can relax and enjoy the scenery and tranquility, far away from your normal hectic life. It is located right on Lake Öljaren. Tvättstugan is the oldest house on Kårtorp, located a stone's throw from the lake with access to your own little deck right in front of the water. When you book accommodation in Tvättstugan, you have the whole house to yourself. The house consists of "Living room 1" with a fireplace and small dining table, "Kitchenette", i.e. a kitchenette with two hotplates for simple cooking, sink, fridge and a microwave. Kettle and coffee maker are available. "Bedroom 1", a double room upstairs with lake view, "Bedroom 2", two single beds in the living room upstairs. "Fully equipped bathroom 1" with wood-fired sauna and "Patio 1" facing the lake (see pictures). The warehouse is located on the same lot, but a little further away from the lake. It also has its own terrace overlooking the garden. The house consists of "Living room 2", living room with dining table and large corner sofa (sofa bed for 2) and a wood-burning stove, "Fully-equipped kitchen", stove with induction stovetop and oven, microwave, fridge and small freezer, dishwasher, sink."Bedroom 3", family room with a double bed and two wall-mounted single beds, "Bedroom 4", a small single room, "Bedroom 5", a small single room, "Bedroom 6", a walk-through room in the hall upstairs with two single beds with curtains to pull. "Fully equipped bathroom 2", shower, toilet and sink. "Patio 2", covered porch and hammock (see pictures). You do not have access to the sauna if you only book the Warehouse, as the sauna is located in the Laundry. Both houses are rustic with lots of timber details and charm, but where flies at certain times of the year like to crawl in. You can book both homes or just one. Write which one you're interested in. The price is based on the number of people the booking applies to. Guest access Both the Laundry and the Magazine have access to the garden, pool, jetty by the lake, gym and laundry room. These spaces are shared with the family living on the property. Check with the family when booking. Other things to note From our farm, you can visit the very interesting and beautiful castle and museum, Julita Gård, which is located by the same lake, Öljaren, a few kilometers away. For more information, see their website. If you walk a couple of kilometers in the other direction, you will come to Fiskeboda. Fiskeboda has a small harbor on Lake Hjälmaren, which is the fourth largest lake in Sweden, a campsite and a nice beach. There are several antique shops/craft stores in the area and almost every weekend there is a local rural auction in Julita. About 20 minutes away, you can visit Stora Sundby Castle and walk around their beautiful park and visit the café there.
