Ivy, unique cosy Shepherds Hut

Ivy is the perfect getaway tailored for couples to enjoy the tranquil surrounding countryside with lovely walks and great cycling along the towpath of the adjacent Kennet & Avon Canal. Two pubs are within a short stroll for a leisurely lunch or evening out and on the way past pop in and say hi to our sociable pygmy goats. Explore the many pretty villages nearby, the beautiful city of Bath is only 16 miles distant and prehistoric wonders such as Stonehenge and Avebury are close by. The space Ivy, our Shepherds Hut, is meticulously handcrafted on a solid oak frame, featuring a one of a kind lantern roof that allows an abundance of natural light in to illuminate the open plan space. this charming hut offers comfortable accommodation for two, with a snug double bed for a restful nights sleep. You can unwind on a vintage re-upholstered sofa in font of the log burner making it the retreat for those chilly autumnal and winter evenings Alternatively, step outside onto a raised deck for your morning coffee while taking in the rural views. The well appointed kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, a fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle and a toaster. A mini oven or microwave is available on request. For those who enjoy cooking outdoors there is a BBQ, firepit and picnic bench. Adjacent to Ivy you will find a private bathroom housed in a converted horse box with and overhead rain shower and all expected toilet amenities. In addition to you private deck you are welcome to enjoy the shared front paddock which takes in all the evening sun and don't hesitate to set up a picnic in one of our enclosed paddocks and take time out to meet our five friendly and inquisitive pygmy goats. We are happy to welcome one small/medium sized dog, however please note that there are often cattle grazing in the field directly behind and we have a variety of wildlife including deer surrounding us so dogs must be kept under control at all times. Guest access Guests have their private balcony and separate lawn surrounding Ivy with BBQ , firepit and picnic bench. Guests are free to roam on our adjoining secluded paddocks and take a picnic in perfect privacy.
