Relax in this calm, mid century space shared with the home's homeowner. My two-story house is nestled in one of the areas most desired neighborhoods, North Tacoma. It's steps away from a bus line that goes directly to the medical district. Also, just 5 mins away from Proctor District and less than 10 mins from Stadium & Theater District, along with 6th Ave. Upstairs is three bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms, for which you will have your own bedroom & personal bathroom right across the hall. If you enjoy the clean lines of mid century modern, you'll feel right at home. The entire upstairs common area is available to you. Your room includes black out curtains, plenty of storage (closet & drawer space,), a sit/stand desk, a snack fridge/freezer, and a smart TV for you to use all your favorite apps. You have your own personal bathroom directly across the hall. If you are a walker, you'll love walking just blocks to amazing views of the Sound & Vashon Island, as well as the Olympic Mountains & Mount Rainier. Less than two blocks away is our much celebrated "Delightful Neighborhood Market," that has a reputation for one of the best coffees, and fun, unique snacks. They frequently host fun pop-up food trucks that range from Mexican to funnel cakes. It's a real gem! The downstairs is a 5 Star AirBNB with its own separate entrance (Mid Century Spa-Suite Dual Shower & Soaking Tub in Tacoma). You do have an option to rent it at a discounted rate, if it's open. The guests are always awesome and you hardly know they're around. I just try to be equally respectful by quietly closing doors and walking lightly. It is a "shoes off" house. Guest access You'll have your own key as well as a lock on both your bedroom and bathroom for privacy. I'm happy to provide roommate referrals, as they have primarily been through Furnished Finders. During your stay I'm a single woman who loves humans and I look forward to sharing my space with another woman, for security & safety. I will respect your privacy, but I also enjoy a great conversation. I'll follow your lead. I've been a marketing professional of 25+ years and I also develop marketing centric, business management websites for small businesses in addition to 3D rendering, and interior design. I work full-time, Mon-Fri from 9am to 5pm (remote, two-days a week). I'm either out on the town after work, rolling in between 8pm and 10pm or I'm hunkered down working on my side hustle (web development). I'm quiet unless I'm not. You either wont hear a peep out of me, or I'll transform into an extraverted social butterfly. I'm really good at taking my lead from others, so you don't have to worry about me imposing my vibe on you. I like things pretty. That's the best way I know how to describe myself. I'm also just one block away from a bus stop that goes directly to most major medical facilities in Tacoma. Another one of my favorites is cooking on the grill... or better yet, the griddle located on the covered patio. No matter the weather, a grilled steak or portobello mushroom is just feet away. .................... On a personal note... clarity is kindness! I don't take things personally... because I realize we're all humans, just trying to navigate this thing we call life. If you want me to take something personally, you'll have to tell me, otherwise I'll assume you're tired; having a hard day; feeling introverted; enjoying your space and peace; etc. On the other hand, I prefer for you to just share if you have a need or preference. You won't hurt my feelings and it's so much easier to enjoy cohabitating when you're not walking on eggshells. I'll respect your physical and personal space/boundaries, and I appreciate you allowing me to gracefully have mine. I love the loud energy of bars, even though I rarely drink... and I'm usually up for a buddy, if that's your thing. My home is allergy friendly and there's no smoking or animals of any kind on the property. I have a UV air filtration system on my forced air HVAC system. There are many options for edibles within minutes, if that's how you like to unwind. Just no smoking.
