The house and grounds are spacious and easily accommodate 8 people BUT please note the 4th bedroom is small and has a small double bed in it. Lago Trasimeno offers kayaking, wakeboarding, kite and windsurfing as well as SUP, and motorboats and dinghies are available to hire. There are plenty of trails and quiet roads for biking, walking and horse riding can be organised through various stables. There are public tennis courts within 15 minutes. Autumn is the season for truffle hunting. Seasonal festivals of art, music and opera are not unexpectedly plentiful. There are smaller supermarkets at nearby Mercatale 15 - 20 minutes drive. Also a pharmacist, butcher, baker, bank with ATM, and fuel station. Larger supermarkets, other outlets and a weekly market are at Umbertide. Vineyards abound and many are set up for visits, and interest in olive oils is only increasing.A few of our favourite restaurants (varying budgets) in the area are at very nearby Lisciano Niccone and Preggio, plus Montone, Cortona and Molino Vitelli. Places to visit: Within 1 hour - Assisi, Cortona, Gubbio, Arezzo, Spello, Umbertide, Citta di Castello, Perugia plus Deruta for ceramics and Montone for dining and its film festival. Within 2 hours - Todi, Siena, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Spoleto, Montefalco. We can usually organise cookery classes, wine and oil tasting, and yoga. The price includes private use of the entire property sleeping up to 8 guests. It includes all linen, utilities, pool towels, shampoo and shower gel. Under the pergola by the pool are a table for dining or playing games, sofas and chairs to relax, working well to gather for those times out of the sun but close to a cooling dip. The pool has gentle steps and a shallow end, available and heated upto 25 degrees from May to October (except July and August when just the sun works its magic).
