Book your relaxing stay today! The space The house is 2300 square feet on a 6.5 acre property, overlooking a private pond. Four bedrooms which comfortably sleep up to 12 guests, two full bathrooms (both equipped with a shower and tub) as well as a central half-bath featuring a bidet. The house is a spacious two-level home with an open concept upstairs, making it the perfect place to gather for family functions, bachelorette parties, local weddings, and everything in between. During the cold season, Massanutten resort is just a 30 minute drive. Situated on the property are multiple historic out-buildings and sheds, adding charm and warmth to the overall feel. The real show-stopper of this home is the front porch, which overlooks the two acres of manicured yard and the property's private pond, perfect for fishing. With the sun setting through the trees, you won't want to end the day anywhere else. The property is secluded on a private road with only two other homes, and saved for guests only (we live off-property), while still being conveniently located near local restaurants and grocery stores (just a 5 minute drive to Walmart, Food Lion and others). Guest access Guests have full access to the house, yard, pond, and living spaces. We keep a couple of closets locked for safety, but ensure plenty of closet space throughout the house. The yard is two full acres of green grass that meets a large private pond, which guests are welcome and encouraged to fish, then surrounded by four more acres of woods. The front porch and the patio are peaceful places to start and end your day. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and entertain including a coffee pot, french press, and espresso machine. Other things to note The house is an open gathering space with an open flow for larger groups. It’s a great place for family get-togethers, bachelorette parties, groups of friends, families of all ages, those hiking and exploring Shenandoah National park, wedding parties, and everyone in between. We’re a convenient drive from Charlottesville and the University of Virginia, but removed enough from the hustle and bustle of the city to help you unwind among the Virginia wine trail and blue ridge mountains. We're just a quick shot down highway 29 to all of Charlottesville's hottest events including UVA, Scott Stadium, and John Paul Jones Arena (JPJ) for concerts and sports.
