This cabin is somewhat elevated on a natural property with a very nice view of the turquoise Hardangerfjord and the steep mountains rising from the water on the opposite side. This cabin is located somewhat elevated on a natural grounds with a very nice view of the turquoise Hardangerfjord and the mountains rising steeply from the water. Be a guest in this cozy furnished vacation cottage with rustic elements as well as modern details. The large dining table invites you to start your vacation days here and make plans for adventurous hikes or excursions. Outside the holiday home there is a large wooden terrace from which a unique view of 30 kilometers of open fjord landscape can be enjoyed. The house is about 100 meters from Hardangerfjord, where the motorboat berth is also located. If you want, you can end the day with soothing warmth in the evening at the traditional Jøtul wood-burning stove and really relax. Large windows in the living room provide plenty of light, so it is quite bright inside the house even on rainy days. The cottage has a bathroom and two bedrooms for 5 people. In all rooms, local pine has been used as a building material, which creates a very pleasant living atmosphere. Not far away is the small village of Ænes. In the middle of this place is the church, which is the smallest and oldest stone church in this municipality. For more information, please visit our Activities menu. From Ænes you can reach the Ænes valley of the same name, which rises a little steeper from the center of the village up the mountain. A hike or a fishing tour to the Ænes valley is highly recommended. You can spend a great day here with many nature experiences. Anglers can fish in the river for salmon, sea trout or smaller brown trout. If you don't want to fish, just go on a natural hike along the original salmon river and enjoy the peace and quiet. Between Ænes and Sunndal is the Furebergfossen, which you can easily reach by car or motorboat. The Furebergfossen is the most beautiful waterfall in the area. Many hikes are possible in the mountains and valleys. You can best experience the original nature of Norway during a day of hiking. The tourist information has many tour suggestions and has maps ready for you. On narrow paths you can reach the Folgefonn glacier from Sunndal or from Odda. When the weather is nice, these hikes are highly recommended. The nearest town is Rosendal, with a sports boutique, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and more. A visit to the barony in Rosendal completes your holiday stay. The barony has a well-kept rose garden, a nice cafe and also a special restaurant in which home-grown vegetables and herbs are offered. The surroundings of the Hardangerfjord in Hordaland impress with their overwhelming nature. The Folgefonna glacier, Folgefonna Nasjonalpark, deep fjords and thundering waterfalls can be admired in the area. Due to the sparse population, the fjord is not overfished and very nice specimens are always landed. We have been fishing in the area around Ænes for 30 years and know the area very well. In your arrival documents you will find a plan on which we have marked known fishing spots. New fishing regulations for tourists: This property including motorboat, FH-3 is registered as a tourism fishing specialist, so guests are allowed to export fish from Norway. Motorboat can be rented separately Each vacation home has its own motorboat when rented separately, which can be used by the renter of this property at any time in good weather.
