Description
A beautiful family home, that sleeps up six adults and four children. Or 8 adults but 2 in single beds . On the edge of Mathry with exceptional views and very peaceful environs. One field away from the National Park and two miles walk to the nearest beach. Very close to St David's and Fishguard, and the wonderful beaches of West Pembrokeshire. An ideal location for a family or two family holiday. Great village pub 250 yards away. Well behaved dog friendly. The space The house is spacious with plenty of room for all. On the ground floor there is a large sitting room with French windows to enjoy the view. A television room with a desk, a large kitchen /dining room again with French windows for the view There is a laundry room with tumble drier and washing machine and rack to dry clothes. There is a small downstairs loo. Outside there is a small patio with barbecue and seating Upstairs three large double bedrooms one with an en-suite bathroom. A room with two single beds and a bunk bed. Plus a large shower room with loo. Guest access The whole house is yours. It is our holiday home so please treat it as you would your own. Other things to note Please no stag or hen nights. Family’s only. While we welcome well behaved dogs. You need to note the garden is NOT dog proof. We have a black lab and the garden would have to have a fence like stalag luff 10 to keep her in. How ever the house is no where near a main road and unless the dog you have loves to roam it should be fine. If you could clear up any mess from the garden ( flicking into the field is fine ) it would be great. Graham who mows the lawn has had a few terrible mows and has requested we mention this. We request that dogs stay off the furniture and stay down stairs. However it seems how often we say this guests ignore it so we have ti have a dog cleaning charge We do not empty the cupboards when guests leave So hopefully you will find basics there. So please sort of top up. Hard to explain but if you use some stuff but have to buy some mustard can you leave the remaining. We do leave a welcome pack with bread eggs milk etc as well as the obligatory Welsh cakes and some dog biscuits if you are bringing one. So you can have a cup of tea on arrival. There are wet suits and boogie boards under the stairs. Not a full range but please borrow them rather than buy new for growing children. But wash out and hang to dry before you leave. There is a black bin in the laundry and outside tap we use to rinse them. This a new listing on Airbnb, it was listed on another site and these are a few of the reviews from that site. Michelle Banner Halesowen Confirmed guest on 18/08/2024 5 out of 5 We had a lovely time at the house. The location is so peaceful with stunning views. We got to witness the meteor showers in the garden which will remain an amazing memory. The house had everything we needed and more, it felt homely and welcoming and was very comfortable. We received an email before our stay with plenty of information (check junk mail) and a very thoughtful welcoming basket, thank you it was much appreciated. I would highly recommend this holiday home for anyone looking for a relaxing family holiday. Published 03 Jul 2024 Confirmed guest on 05/06/2024 4 out of 5 We had an excellent and enjoyable week staying at Maes Ernin. The property is used by the owner and his family as well as being let, so has the feel of a real home. It is well equipped, and spacious. Having a separate television room from the main sitting room worked really well for us. The kitchen and dining room area is great, plenty of room, and a really good supply of cutlery and crockery. All the bedrooms were very comfortable. In one bedroom there was some noise from the hot water system, but after the first night we simply turned the hot water off before going to bed, and on again when we got up - problem solved. The owner was really helpful and responded quickly and positively to any communication. The pub in the village was welcoming, and did fairly standard pub food. There is a good SPAR shop just two miles away, in Square. Overall it was an great place for a holiday. Published 05 Jun 2024
