Haus Steffenbach – A Hidden Gem of Nature, Wellness & Tranquility Tucked between untamed forest and a pristine golf course, Haus Steffenbach is a place where wild nature and quiet rustic atmosphere meet. Just 20 minutes from Cologne, yet worlds away from the city's rush, this spacious family home invites you to slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect—with yourself, your loved ones, and the rhythm of nature. The space The House This spacious and inviting home offers comfort, warmth, and a true sense of togetherness. The open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area form the heart of the house — a perfect place for long, cozy evenings with family or friends. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, a selection of spices, and coffee and tea facilities. Bedrooms & Bathrooms On the ground floor, you’ll find a generous bedroom with a private bathroom featuring a bathtub, steam shower, and toilet. There is also an additional bathroom with a rain shower and toilet on this floor. Upstairs, the house offers three comfortable bedrooms with a mix of bed sizes (one 180 cm bed, one 160 cm bed, and five 90 cm beds). The dorm-style bedroom has direct access to a beautiful roof terrace with breathtaking views. Outdoor Living & Wellness The spacious garden is a true paradise and invites you to fully unwind. Enjoy the sauna and wood-fired hot tub for deep relaxation, or take a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pond. For children, there is a playhouse, slide, swings, and a trampoline. Evenings can be spent outdoors in the second kitchen with BBQ and fire pit — perfect for cooking, sharing stories, and enjoying the stars. Private parking is available on the property. The Surroundings Within a 5–10 minute walk, you’ll find the Schloss Auel golf course, cozy restaurants, pubs, bakeries, and supermarkets such as Lidl. The area is ideal for walking and cycling, but simply relaxing on the terrace and taking in the stunning views is just as enjoyable. Additional Information Pets are welcome. Due to allergies of other guests, we kindly ask that pets do not sleep in the beds. If you prefer to have them in bed, please bring your own bedding. The house also offers books, board games, and a fireplace. A basic wood package is provided; however, if you plan on extended hot tub or fire pit sessions, we recommend bringing extra wood or purchasing it at the Hagebau store just 10 minutes away. After that, we’ll be closing for renovations and reopening in 2026 with a fresh new look. So gather your favorite people, leave behind the noise of the city, and step into a slower, simpler, more beautiful world. Lay-Out This spacious and inviting home offers plenty of comfort and warmth. The open living room, kitchen, and dining area form the heart of the house, perfect for long evenings together. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, spices, and coffee and tea facilities. Bedrooms & Bathrooms • Downstairs: A spacious bedroom with a private bathroom (bathtub, shower, toilet). • Upstairs: Three bedrooms with comfortable beds (2x 180 cm, 2x 140 cm). • The rooms share a dressing area opposite the middle bedroom. • Bedroom 4 has direct access to a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. • Bedrooms 2 and 3 need to pass through Bedroom 4 to access the bathroom and toilet. While not the most practical layout, it’s perfectly manageable for families and friends. • Bedroom 2 features a balcony with a stunning view. Please note: Due to the low railing, this is not suitable for young children.
