Haus Steffenbach is a private wellness retreat surrounded by nature, just 20 minutes from Cologne. Accommodating up to 15 guests, it offers 5 bedrooms (4 with king-size beds and 1 dormitory with 5 single beds), plus an additional sofa bed. Enjoy a natural swimming pond, wood-fired hot tub, sauna, steam shower, mist shower, 2 bathtubs, 3 rain showers, and a spacious wellness terrace with fire pit and outdoor kitchen. Perfect for families, friends and group getaways. The space The House This spacious and inviting home offers comfort, warmth, and a true sense of togetherness. The open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area form the heart of the house — a perfect place for long, cozy evenings with family or friends. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, a selection of spices, and coffee and tea facilities. Bedrooms & Bathrooms On the ground floor, you’ll find a generous bedroom with a private bathroom featuring a bathtub, steam shower, and toilet. There is also an additional bathroom with a rain shower and toilet on this floor. Upstairs, the house offers three comfortable bedrooms with a mix of bed sizes (one 180 cm bed, one 160 cm bed, and five 90 cm beds). The dorm-style bedroom has direct access to a beautiful roof terrace with breathtaking views. Outdoor Living & Wellness The spacious garden is a true paradise and invites you to fully unwind. Enjoy the sauna and wood-fired hot tub for deep relaxation, or take a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pond. For children, there is a playhouse, slide, swings, and a trampoline. Evenings can be spent outdoors in the second kitchen with BBQ and fire pit — perfect for cooking, sharing stories, and enjoying the stars. Private parking is available on the property. The Surroundings Within a 5–10 minute walk, you’ll find the Schloss Auel golf course, cozy restaurants, pubs, bakeries, and supermarkets such as Lidl. The area is ideal for walking and cycling, but simply relaxing on the terrace and taking in the stunning views is just as enjoyable. Additional Information Pets are welcome. Due to allergies of other guests, we kindly ask that pets do not sleep in the beds. If you prefer to have them in bed, please bring your own bedding. The house also offers books, board games, and a fireplace. A basic wood package is provided; however, if you plan on extended hot tub or fire pit sessions, we recommend bringing extra wood or purchasing it at the Hagebau store just 10 minutes away. The House The heart of the home is the spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The fully equipped indoor kitchen includes an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, coffee and tea facilities, and everything needed to prepare meals. For outdoor living, guests can also enjoy a covered outdoor kitchen and dining area, perfect for long summer evenings, barbecues and relaxed dinners surrounded by nature. Board games and a separate games room with darts offer additional entertainment for both adults and older children. Haus Steffenbach is a peaceful wellness retreat located in a quiet residential and natural setting. It is designed for relaxation, quality time and enjoying nature, rather than parties or loud gatherings. Out of respect for our neighbours, nearby residents and golfers, we kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum, especially during the evening and night. Children under 2 years are welcome; however, a €50 fee per child per stay applies due to the additional preparation and cleaning required. Please note that the property is not specifically equipped for infants or toddlers. Baby cots, high chairs and other nursery equipment are not provided. The property includes a natural swimming pond, hot tub, fire pit, stairs and other wellness facilities that are not specially secured for young children. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times, and any stay with young children is entirely at the guests’ own responsibility. Whether you’re gathering around the fire pit, relaxing in the wellness area, enjoying dinner in the outdoor kitchen or exploring the surrounding forests, Haus Steffenbach offers a unique combination of nature, comfort and relaxation that is difficult to find elsewhere. For the safety and security of our guests and the property, exterior security cameras are installed around the outside of the house and entrance areas. These cameras monitor only outdoor areas and are never located inside the accommodation or private wellness areas. They may not be covered, disconnected or redirected during your stay. The property is available exclusively for registered guests, and visitors or additional overnight guests are not permitted without prior approval.
