The space Welcome to Number 19, my former family home, now open to guests! I’ve intentionally kept its homely feel and I hope you’ll enjoy the space as much as we did. A calm family base in Leeds, the house is often chosen by parents visiting a child at university, grandparents meeting a new baby, or workers coming to the city for important occasions. Number 19 is located in a quiet cul-de-sac and is close to local amenities. It’s a 10-minute walk to the vibrant cafés and independent shops of Chapel Allerton, and 15 minutes by car or public transport to Leeds city centre and venues such as Leeds Arena. The house is part of a collection of 1930s modernist homes (often associated with Art Deco design). Characterised by flat roofs and clean lines, they are an unusual architectural find in the UK. Inside, plants and books help create a calm atmosphere. I also keep piles of clippings around the garden edges to provide shelter for hedgehogs, who regularly visit. --- ✪ Location highlights A short walk takes you to Chapel Allerton’s independent restaurants, cafés, and bars. Nearby green spaces: Chapel Allerton Park, Potternewton Park, Gledhow Valley Woods, and Meanwood Valley Urban Farm. Also within easy reach: Roundhay Park, Meanwood Trail, The Hollies, Golden Acre Park, Eccup Reservoir, Harewood House, Kirkstall Abbey, Temple Newsam, and The Donkey Sanctuary. --- ✪ Getting around Frequent buses (2, 3, 7, and 36) from nearby roads reach Leeds city centre in around 10 minutes. Bus 36 also offers direct links to Harewood, Harrogate, and Ripon. There are also a couple of e-bike station, part of Leeds City Bikes’ public electric bike hire service less than a 10-minute walk away, oh on Harrogate Road, one on Scott Hall Road. Guest access You have exclusive use of the entire house. You can also enjoy the quiet back garden and the wildlife-friendly front garden. Please note that any locked cupboards or storage areas are for the host's use and will not be accessible. Other things to note I'm a French person living in Leeds, I'm half Italian and half Colombian, speaking these languages fluently. This means we can interact in French, Italian and Spanish in addition to English!
