Welcome to our cozy 40 sqm apartment on a small farm! The simple but comfortable accommodation is ideal for nature lovers, hikers, hunters, commuters and travelers. Here you will find real country life between raised beds and animal cohabitants (chickens, cats, dogs). The quiet location in Michelstadt-Steinbuch offers the best conditions for relaxing. The apartment is for 2 people, dogs are welcome. Ideal for short and long-term trips The space Welcome to our cozy bakery apartment! This charming 2.5-room apartment offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The entire apartment currently has old, simple glazing and is heated by cozy central heating, which provides pleasant warmth. Unfortunately, the previous additional wood-burning stove had to give way to the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). The corner where the fireplace was located is currently still unrenovated. However, we are considering installing a modern pellet stove there in the future to provide a cozy source of fire again. From the technology, a hot water boiler is connected via the central heating. Please note that the apartment does not have a sofa bed. The apartment also has a simple guest Wi-Fi with 3-5 Mbps. A LAN connection and a broadband connection are not included in the price and can be purchased separately if necessary, but not via Airbnb. The apartment includes a practical entrance hall (3 m²), a cozy bedroom (7 m²) with a French double bed (1.40 m x 2 m). The bedroom also has a blackout. Please note: The bed is installed transversely, with a one-sided entrance, and is therefore particularly suitable for guests with average European dimensions – for very tall people it could seem a bit cramped. The bathroom (5 m²) is compact but stylishly furnished, and the open kitchen (8 m²) is perfectly integrated into the living room (15 m²). Here you can cook, eat and relax together. The small entrance area with balcony (6 m²) invites you to enjoy fresh air on nice days. This apartment is ideal for those looking for a cozy place to stay and feel comfortable in a compact, well thought-out space. It offers the charm of a traditional brick house while offering modern comfort. Please note that the apartment does not currently have a TV, radio or other communication equipment. Some of these cannot be purchased separately via Airbnb. On the property live approx. 30 chickens and roosters who like to greet you in the morning. Fresh breakfast eggs can be purchased directly from us or can be collected yourself. We are in the countryside, so please expect compost, manure and agricultural activities – even on weekends and occasionally at night. Nevertheless, you will be surprised how quiet it is here in the Odenwald and how clear the nights are. Another important point: allergy sufferers, especially against animal hair, could have problems here. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned, but animals are omnipresent in the area. These include bees, wasps, hornets, all kinds of beetles, spiders, snakes, bats, various kinds of martens, mice, raccoons and even foxes that like to steal shoes. In addition, we live directly on the field, on the forest and in front of the meadow, with many herbs and different trees – everything that a hay fever sufferer does not like to have near him. We are close to nature, seek biodiversity and then have to live with its consequences. Otherwise, we recommend the hotels in the city, which are also very nice. Furthermore, we would like to sensitize dog owners to the fact that when the dogs go on the couch, a blanket is placed underneath. Thank you. In the event of major contamination by animals brought along, we reserve the right to report the cleaning/maintenance costs to Airbnb (e.g. in the event of damage due to destruction and/or feces). Cleaning material is available in the apartment at any time. If necessary, just contact us. One more thing... Please note that the rooms (especially the bedroom) are designed more for normal-sized guests – if you are taller or wider, you should be prepared for a bit of cozy tightness. Guest access Note on the current access situation: Due to the redesign of the vegetable garden and the new terrace, access to the apartment is currently restricted and not barrier-free. The parking lot is either accessible via a meadow with a slight slope, or a small detour across the street is necessary. For loading and unloading, you can drive very close to the accommodation. However, we would like to point out that there are stairs and steps on the way to the apartment, and tall guests should pay a little attention to their head height. Other things to note Note for our guests: Our apartment is idyllically located on the slope (approx. 15% gradient). For the stay with us, a certain surefootedness is therefore required in order to be able to safely manage the stairs and steps. In addition, animals are part of our everyday life: cats, chickens and also dogs – our guests should be animal lovers or at least not be afraid of them. The weather in our region can be very changeable: heavy rain, strong winds and even snow or hail are not uncommon. Please be prepared for this and bring suitable clothing and equipment if necessary.
