Waterfront Private Dock Monkey Island!

Welcome to your dream vacation on Grand Lake! Our luxury waterfront property on Monkey Island has a private dock and stunning lake views. The Island features vibrant nightlife, dining, and the Shangri-La resort. This vacation home feels like a true retreat with a fully stocked kitchen, wet bar, coffee bar, pool table, & ping pong. Our cove is ideal for swimming & fishing, with a neighborhood boat ramp & several nearby marinas. Comfortably sleeps 8 with spacious rooms & well-appointed bathrooms. The space This newly renovated lake home is the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. Unlike so many properties that are done cheaply to maximize rental profit, this is our personal home that we also frequently use. There are so many amenities and creature comforts that they are hard to list. The area: we are on Monkey Island arguably the most desirable area of Grand Lake. The island has more restaurants, bars, marinas, and stores than any other lakeside area. We have an upscale grocer and market, 3 gas station/convenience stores, and a dollar general so anything you need is very close by. Take a look at our picture of the island that shows most of the spots and how close they are. This is very rare for most lake areas. Also, nearly the entire island is accessible via a golf cart path. You’d be surprised how fun and convenient it is going from place to place on a golf cart. And our home couldn’t be more centrally located. We are right on the path, and less than 5 minutes by golf cart to several restaurants and bars. Monkey Island is also home to Shangri-La resort, a world famous resort that features multiple golf courses and every resort amenity. Ask us about renting our golf cart for far cheaper than the golf cart rental places! Inside the home: Fresh off a full-gut remodel our home would be categorized as “upscale comfort”. Literally everything inside the home is brand new. We have an enormous great room and kitchen with a moveable glass wall that opens up entirely to the deck. In the great room the dining room converts to both a pool table and ping pong table. The kitchen has all high-end cabinetry and appliances and is fully stocked including all dishware, pots/pans, counter appliances, spices and routine kitchen sundries. If it’s in your kitchen at home we probably have it. On the other end of the great room is a wet bar complete with icemaker , bar fridge, and ample storage/counter space. There are three bedrooms, one with a king, one with a queen, and one with queen bunks. There are full closets in every room and also vanity stations inside every bedroom for additional get-ready space. There are 4 smart tvs (living room and every bedroom), super high speed internet, and full-sized washer and dryer. One small detail that many people appreciate is we are on city water not a well. Every part of it truly feels like a “real” home not a rental. Outside the home: As awesome as the home is inside the outside also has endless amenities. The decks is very large with ample outdoor seating. There is an 8-person conversation set as well as an 8-person bar-height dining table with fire feature in the middle. There is also a hanging chair if you’re feeling whimsical. The deck has a propane grill, party lights, ceiling fans, and a heater for full comfort. The deck faces east so you get beautiful sun rises and get to avoid roasting on the deck in summer afternoons. In the yard we have a large fire pit as well as a resort-style daybed on its own cocktail deck. There is also a yard on the side of the house that is fenced. Boat dock: Walk about 20 paces through the nearly level yard and you are at the boat dock. Talk about convenient!! I cannot tell you how nice it is to get back from a day of boating and in just a couple minutes you are unloaded off the boat and relaxing on the deck. The dock is in about 8-10’ of water (depending on lake level) so feel free to jump and swim or fish. There is a fun “pirates plank” that kids absolutely love running and jumping from. The boat slip can accommodate up to a 28’ boat. Our neighborhood has a private boat ramp only one house from ours and we have ample parking room for multiple cars and a boat trailer. This home truly has every component for a perfect lake vacation! Other things to note We are at the tail end of a whole home renovation. The exterior is in the process of being painted but is on pause during periods of high guest usage. Our family uses the home occasionally. We have a Labrador (Wrigley) that is very good at shedding. We take great care to professionally clean the home but please excuse if there is an occasional random dog hair that got missed. Again this is unlikely due to stringent cleaning practices. Lake life is different than city life, especially given that we are right on the water. Even with the utmost care during your stay you may see some flying insects when you open doors. Also the deck and dock will have lots of flying insects and webs. We clean them after each stay but they rebuild nightly :)
